Chapter 6 Sunrise Garden

Evening came and as usual, mag-isa nanaman akong kumain. Bihira lang umuwi si Mommy at Daddy at bihira lang rin kami mag kakasabay kung kumain. Kung mag sasabay man kami ay madalas hindi natatapos nang maganda.

Dad will always demand and he will always drag me down whenever there's something that he doesn't want. My brothers are not living here anymore. They have there own condo and house kaya hindi na nila kailangang umuwi rito.

"Annalise, tapos ka na ba?" Manang asked. I just nod my head and went upstairs.

I reviewed my lessons and did my assignments para naman wala na akong gagawin mamaya. After doing everything, I went to my bathroom to wash my face. After washing, I took my phone and answered Paolo's call.

["Hi. Are you done doing your things?"] he gently asked.

"Yeah. How were your plates?" I asked as I open the sliding door of my veranda to get some fresh air.

["All done. What are you doing?]

"Just getting some fresh air before I go to bed."

Our conversation went on and on until I notice the wall clock in my room.

"Oh. It's getting late. I think we should go to sleep," I said with a smile plastered on my face.

["Yes, we should. Thanks for your time."] he sweetly said before bitting our goodbye to each other.

Days went past so fast and Paolo and I haven't seen each other. I focused on school and so he is. I waited for the time that we'd meet and now that it came, I'm so nervous because I will be facing Dad this time.

"Dad, can we talk to you?" I asked with shaking hands.

"Who's with you?" he asked with a strict voice.

"I'm with Marian, Dad," I said.

"Let her in." he cued and I went to the door to let Marian in.

"G-good morning, Tito." she nervously greeted.

"What's your deal?" he asked while staring at our eyes.

I can see the nervousness in Marian's eyes that made my heart pound so hard.

"Uhm... Ipapaalam ko po sana si Annalise, Tito." nanginig ang boses ni Marian na ikinayoko naming dalawa.

"Where?" malamig na tanong niya.

"Mag ma-mall lang po Tito, at pumuntang amusement park," pag sisinungaling niya.

"Bata ba kayo para mag amusement park?" We can hear the sarcasm in his voice kaya mas lalo kaming kinabahan ni Marian.

"Dad, I just want to enjoy and--"

"Enjoy? Enjoyment pa rin ang nasa isip mo imbis na e perfect ang quizzes at exams mo!" he exclaimed.

"Dad, please, ngayon lang naman e--"

"No." matigas na pag tanggi niya. Nangilid ang mga luha ko na agad ko naming pinunasan.

"Please, Daddy. I just want to unwind. Wala naman na po akong gagawin." pag nanakaawa ko pa.

I heard the door opened and Mommy showed up.

"What's happening here?" Mom asked. I immediately went to her and held her hands.
