SING FOR ME

Chapter Ten:Music in Me

Mutsa's pov
Yesterday I had a wonderful day with my brothers they helped me  with my job,herding cattle is not easy chai,the animals can be hot headed as the donkey.

Sometimes and when it's like that its a bad day because you will have to chase them from going into people's gardens,into people's drinking wells and mind you a cow can chew on ones clothes on the line too,but with my brothers help yesterday I'm thankful because my day was made a whole lot easier.

Spending some quality time together as brothers had been lacking too since all the time we where always working or taking turns to look after papa and yesterday Tiwa had volunteered to look after him which me and my brothers are thankful for.

Talking about Tiwa I wanted to go see her today since her parents have traveled to the city,she had informed me she had good news for me n she knew I was the news guy lol,and maybe we could get down a bit u know I thought a smirk plastered on my face,but it was gone as soon as it came when I saw the things at the corner of my sleeping hut.

Five suitcases and I haven't opened them since that day when i told my brothers the half truth ,today was my off day and my pay day too well I wasn't getting much but the few combined with the money i get from other few part time jobs I could take care of me,my brothers and papa,as well as buying his meds.

I walked to the suitcases layed them on the ground and opened the one i wanted the green and grey one,the female suitcase,I opened inside and there it was the pair of white headphones,a Bluetooth speaker and laptop I took them all out put them on my bed then closed it,I don't know why but I put it under my bed excluding it from the other rest of the suitcases,then put the rest on the wall.

I sat on my bed and switched on the laptop waiting for a password to show up on the full screen but nope only a wallpaper was there.Oooooh my god a gorgeous beautiful young lady was on the screen smiling to the camera and she looked like she had no care in the world.

Out of curiosity I decided to check up her gallery and they were loads and loads of pictures,some at events,award shows and charity events and her  smiles in all of them were contagious,must be some celebrity.

She had a guy in some of the photos holding her hand at events,and some just laid back and chilled at home,that must have been her boyfriend,he had the looks that deserved the girl though and I envied him for having such a beautiful lady like that.

I would have loved to have a gorgeous woman like that in my life but who was kidding,living in a village and working as a herdboy where would I find a woman like that,such blessings belonged to rich men like the one on the screen.

I was about to close the laptop when I saw a few videos in the video section clicked the first and clicked on the first one.

"OK dad this one is for you,its not my original song but it's a song Camila wrote for her dad,and since its your birthday I want to sing it for you it's called first man",she said adjusting the camera then started singing.

When she started singing I was frozen her voice was so angelic,soft and beautiful.She had no makeup on but she was still the most beautiful girl I have ever seen in my life.

She sang her eyes close and my world zoomed in on her,I listened to her singing with passion and when she opened those huge doll eyes and looked at the camera,it felt like she starred into my soul and goosebumps rose am over my body,"happy birthday old man", she finished then the video paused.

Oooh my God that's the voice I needed,that's the angel I need to sing right besides me but very sad she had to pass away at a very young age with all that talent I'm sure even her own father is heart broken not to mention her boyfriend.

I played other videos and saw that she was a really famous singer,and yes she could sing like an angel I'm sure no other woman could compare,why haven't I heard of her before I questioned myself,its because you  barely listen to women's music stupid,my subconscious said,yeah thanks for the reminder I thought back.

I started to sing along to her music of course with the help of the lyrics and our voices where one."Mutsa are you awake I'm going to the market with papa,clean the compound please when you get your lazy ass up", my brother called out,"OK,ok I will",I shouted back shutting down the machine placing it safely in one of my drawers along with the other things,"now lemme start cleaning up",I said stretching.

Mildred's pov
"You can do it try one more time",Sarah said circling around me.

"Would you stop and just chill on one place maybe I won't be so nervous"I said to the female alligator.

Yesterday I had swallowed my pride and asked for Sarah's forgiveness after I wasn't sooo nice to her on the first day and she accepted my apology.

She also introducing  me to sasha the dolphin and phoenix the jelly fish which kept zapping them mistakenly time and again if they made contact,what a friendship,I laughed inwardly,yes they were friends and I was joining the treo to make it a quad.

"Ok,ok we chilled now",sasha said then I cleared my invisible throat and started singing one of my songs even the starfish that was moving stopped,I sang if only you would notice me....it wasn't a hit song but I loved it.

For four good minutes I sang my invisible heart out and when I finished,Phoenix just said,"oooh my god",in a tiny voice,then they all started to cycle around me again."You have a voice of an Angel",Sasha said,while Sarah and phoenix nodded,"thanks guys wish I had someone to sing to you know",I said sadly.

"You have us",Phoenix said in a tiny voice,"and those boys too", Sarah said,"ooooh my God there a boys too",sasha asked jumping in and out of water",excitement.

"Yes they are but they are not your type because they are human Sarah said,"ooooh"Sasha said going in chill mode again.

"I  saw you interact with that guy yesterday and it looks like you took a liking to him",Sarah said circling around me again and stopped.

"What do you mean",I asked surprised,"I saw water wrapped around his private area making bubbles and I knew it was you", she said.If I was in my human form I would have been red by now.

"I you know,I was just"..I tried to explain,"its ok sasha said if you like the guy you should sing for him",she said moving around she was one hell of an energetic fish,"ok guys to be specific I don't like him,I just find him attacive and wouldn't he find it weird if he hears singing but doesn't see someone?",I asked.

"Well who knows you gotta try,who knows things might change around here",Phoenix said ,"whatever",I said laughing and they joined in.

I sighed looking on the dry land,what if he never comes back,what if he isn't into music,what if he finds it weird and never comes back,well I don't know I thought looking back at the animals who looked back into the water but they couldn't see me.

"Well wanna go for swim?", Phoenix asked,"yeah sure why not",I said back,why not make living here worth it might as well transform my life style around here a bit.

With my new friends by my side we swam along while I sang for them,I might not be able to sing as human anymore but the music in me still lived water or human I still could sing and I was happy about it.
