Kristian's pov: 

"why don't you just tell her kris ? your serious about her aren't you ?" 

"of course i am , but telling her..." 

"if your serious about her and you plan to marry her one day , you have to tell her , you can't deny that our lives are in constant danger , and she is gonna be part of that life , she deserves to know "  mateo said as he patted  my shoulder  as i stared at the stairs where scarlet had just gone 

"I ... i have never been this scared brother " a part of me was ashamed to admit it , but seeing  Whitney today was just a reminder that i can lose everything again  and just the thought alone was about to break me 

"Everything will be alright Kris we have each other now don't we ? this time we will protect our family , knights will never fall again " his hand on my shoulder tightened as he smiled at me with determination in his eyes , i nodded my head with confidence 

"good now go and get your girl , she needs to eat man , just because one test came out good doesn't mean we take a step back  in our whole progress" 

"i know , check on Noah for me ! i am gonna go talk to her "  i left mateo standing in mu office as i ran on the stairs reaching for scarlet's old room , i tried to open the door but it was locked , i took a deep breath as i knocked twice 

"principessa , open up please "  i waited for a replay but nothing came the  were was no noise on the other side of the door , i knocked again this time a bit harder 

"baby please open the door and let's talk "  no reply again , nothing , which was starting to worry me , why the hell isn't she answering , there is no way she had fallen asleep that easily and even if she did scarlet was really a light sleeper she would wake up by the just the sound of me trying to open the door 

"scarlet , your scaring me please open the door now " i knocked again harder this time as worry started to control me , but again nothing , banging harder against the door while calling for scarlet all of a sudden the door opened leaving my hand in mid-air  , and here she was standing in front of me in my black hoodie that she had taken a couple of days ago and her hair was wet and a small blush was covering her small cheeks another proof that she had just walked out of the bathroom , i felt the air enter my lungs as i could finally breath , she looked at me with a weird look in here eyes 

"what's wrong? i was...."  before she finished talking i was already hugging her into my chest and laying my head in the crock of her neck , breathing her calming smell , i felt her small hands on my back as she patted me slowly and gently 

"hey , what happened ? i was just taking a shower " after a couple of seconds of me hugging scarlet and her coaxing me like a little child which i wasn't proud off i finally took a step back and closed the door behind us as i entered the room , i held scarlet's hand in mine and pulled her to the bed , i sat down and made her set on my lap 

"can you tell me what's wrong now ?" 

"i am sorry , seeing that woman messed me up " i creased  her head and played with her wet silky hair 

"who is she kristian ? why do you hate her that much ?"  i took a deep breath as i looked into the ocean eyes that were staring at me with love and worry 

"she is the real reason why i lost my family , it all started with her " the hand that was playing with my hair stopped as she stared at me with shock in her eyes , i felt my whole body go rigid as i remembered that night , the night it all started
