Zainab's POV

"Hi, Zaini."

Upon hearing a raspy yet stern voice, my head turns backward. Zaini! Shaiq used to tease me by twisting my name like this. And every time, I ended up smiling at this, despite been depressed a moment ago. Why this voice seemed so familiar?

My eyes popped out in astonishment glimpsing at the person standing in front of me, looking at me with a smirk. His dirty black hair was falling on his forehead which he had tried his best to cover the whitish streaks in between them by using hair color. But despite that, he had failed miserably. His thick mustache which he may have grown in these five years were making him look more horrible and scary. By the look of his red and puffed eyes, I was sure that he was under the influence of alcohol.

"How are you tigress?" He strolled towards me, with the unwavering smirk still on his face.

Seeing him coming in my way, I took a few steps back. I peeked here and there to still find no one around us. Although some shops were present at a distance from this bus stop, still they were so far away that they weren't bothered to look here.

"It's been such a long time since I have seen you. You have got so beautiful, Zaini," he whispered the last line as he took out his hand and about to reach my face when I slapped away his hand.

"Shakir, stop bothering me and get lost," I yelled at the top of my lungs.

I was still confused that how the hell he had seen me here. He was out of the country for many years and now I couldn't even believe that he had back.

Shakir laughed evilly earning a glare from me.

"Why so arrogant, tigress? Well, I love seeing you getting this feisty," he winked at me as he again tried to come near me.

Before he could reach me, I again scrambled a few strides back from him.

"Just shut this mouth of yours or else you won't stay in one piece," I cried out loud as I pointed my index finger at him.

Shakir chuckled at my statement, "who wouldn't let me remain in one piece today, Zaini? That brother of yours?" He put his hand under his chin like he was thinking about something.

"But he is paralyzed who can't even save himself. How in the world he can save you? Or that husband cum best friend of yours?" He again laughed loudly, like he was getting amused in my situation right now.

"That dude is also not here. I am amazed," he deliberately stopped and looked at me with a straight face now.

"How can a person leave his this beautiful wife behind? And this also for straight five years. That fellow is so dumb that he didn't know your value yet," he spat with a sheepish smirk on his lips.

"But don't worry," he looked intently into my eyes as he leaned closer to me and this time, I didn't move or shove him aside.

Something stopped me from going away from him or yelling at him as I knew this will only encourage him more to tease me.

"I can give you every happiness, money, status. You don't even need to do these jobs. I will make you a queen, Zaini," he announced tried to touch my face with his index finger before I tugged his hand away.

I cheekily smiled at him as I crossed my both arms on my chest. Shakir gazed at my grinning face with gritted brows with confusion.

"You will make me what? Can you repeat it?" I asked him while maintaining a straight face.

He first stared at me in uncertainness and then after a while, his lips spread to form a smile.

"A queen. Just take divorce from your husband," he exclaimed in a husky voice.
