Vlad was sitting in Skyes car checking all parameters, but something else was flooding in his mind: Skye broke up with Chase and will give him no mercy if not in qualifying, then in race. Greg noticed this and decided to have a little chat.
Greg: Still thinking about clash?
Vlad: Yeah. Skye got really angry when I mentioned his name.
Greg: This got even worse than I expected.
Vlad: I think so too.
Then Valeria and Ryan appeared.
Vlad: Why you are not in your garages?
Ryan: We were thinking about this "love" problem. Maybe we should try to reuniteb them?
Valeria: It's quite impossible. If we want to do it, they need to win the title "together".
Greg: Do you mean, equal points after final race and equal amount of winds and 2nd places?!
Vlad: Yes she does man.
Suddenly Skye interrupted them. Suprisingly she had a happy face.
Skye: Are we going to track? It's time to start!
Greg: Yeah, you're right. Good luck guys!
Ryan: Good luck man!
Skye: Is my car ready?
Vlad: Yeah. Let's go.
Skye got in and turned on the engine. Then she drove from the garage, but the most important thing was: she didn't hear the conversation.
Andrew: Ok, Skye went first, go after her.
Marshall: Ok.
Jimmy: We need to go buddy.
Rocky: Copy.
Ryan: We will go behind Chase. Wait for him.
Rubble: No problem.
Kevin: Go behind Rocky and try to stay closer to Marshall. He's faster in corners than Rocky.
Everest: Understood.
Ricardo: We will drive later than others.
Tracker: Got it.
Valeria: Are you ready Chase?
Chase: Yeah. Let's do this.
Pups exited pit-lane and did few laps to find a good trajectory in bankings. Knowing that Chase took pole in Texas by going first, Skye decided to do the same. Marshall came closer to Skye as he could and Everest decided to heat tyres by overtaking Rocky, which was successful.
Marshall: What is she doing?
Chase.E: It looks like she wants to use your slipstream. Be carefull.
Chase was feeling quite unconfident as before and Rubble noticed this.
Rubble: Chase is going really slow. What should I do?
Ryan: Is he really going slow? Ah, I see. Well, overtake him. We don't need to lose time.
Greg: Chase is going somewhy slower than before.
Skye: How pathetic.
Greg (serious): Be respectful with other drivers, even he's your former boyfriend.
3 minutes later all pups did their 3 hot laps, since track length and time for qualifying were much bigger. Top-8 after first try.
