❝ i stay up all night ,
tell myself i'm alright ,
baby you're just harder
to see than most .
i put the record on ,
wait till i hear our song ,
every night i'm dancing ,
with your ghost . ❞

EARLY IN THE MORNING, padfoot was limping went to the infirmary to get crutches and a cast for his leg. he told his reason to madam pomfrey; sleep walking and fell down the stairs with a thud. she seemed to believe that and letted him take those.
currently, he was walking with his friends to the great hall for breakfast, still managing to make girl's drool all over him and saying that they should help him out in a flirtatious manner. it made his ego boost, from how desperate they were for him.-- but ofcourse, more flattered.
sitting in their usual place at the gryffindor table, he pondered as to why there was that stairs-like thingy majig that the hogwart's choir has. the answer was given when dumbledore clapped his hands, grabbing their attention.
"the following weeks shall differ than the past, for there will be a spring play. let us start that difference with the hogwart's choir. conductor for today is mr. (𝒍/𝒏)." his voice boomed in the great hall, sirius raising a brow at this new announcement. (𝒍/𝒏)? ...(𝒚/𝒏)? like the girl who has her own room in this academy but he doesn't-even know-why and thinks it's sorta odd and unfair (𝒚/𝒏)?
as he thought about that particular girl, she actually walked on over to the stage, hands shaking with anxiety as her friend, micah jacobson, a muggle, patted her back, telling her it's all right.
they stood in their places, now shockingly without the frogs they always had when singing. sirius scratches the back of his neck, wanting to just go to the quidditch field than listen to some music-- wasn't on the mood after what occurred to them.
they were gonna sing something fresh, something religious muggles sing to the church, and then maybe some different genres of songs by the future.
the choir begins to sing from their booklets with small smiles. "i wonder, if the light.." they sang in perfect harmony. (𝒚/𝒏)'s eyes met to the long haired maurader, it made him bewildered and curious.
"from the lighthouse, would shine, would shine, would shine on me~" everyone then stopped singing after that, as the hufflepuff looked at every with that dreamy look.
"hear my prayer, i know i'm not worthy, but i need your help. please shine your light, shine it this way..." she sang, in the most beautiful voice ever. it made some people secretly entranced, but it went for just a minute. sirius shifted uncomfortably again-- wasn't one to know religious things that muggles have-- but his eyes were still fixated on her.
