6.1. Writing on the road

Julie and the Phantoms, have one more month left on the Canadian residency part of the tour with Panic! The last leg. "Hello, penny for your thoughts." Luke smiles, sitting on the couch. "Mmmm." Julie hums, trying to write some lyrics. "Just trying to think of some words." Luke smiles. "May I help?" He asks. She smiles, handing her book over to him. "Okay, let's see here." The words fate, broken and eternity, are written down. (I just thought of this) "Took the stage, even though our hearts were on deck, watched the pain fade away, screamed the words as we stood there. You took my pain away, like a sweet twist of fate, we got eternity." He sings, as he writes it down. "Damn, alright." She chuckles. "You took me home, oh we got love on our side." She smiles. "Let our colours, blind their eyes." Alex says, sitting across from them, Julie nods. "Nice Alex!" Luke smiles, writing it down. Then they decided to start figuring it out musically. "The bass line should go G, A, C, Bb." Reggie says, and they all nod, as they finish the song now called We Have Each Other. Then they all head inside the venue. "Alex you ready for your solo?!" Julie asks. "Yeah...." Luke pats his back. "You got this!" Luke says, as they all go on stage. "Montréal, please give it up for Julie and the Phantoms!" Willie announces, as the lights go down. Then Julie presses the keys, and the spotlight shines down. "Don't blink, no, I don't want to miss it

Playin' on the radio, knowing he's the one

Waiting for a touchdown comin' in from Mars
Thinkin' "is there anybody out there?" Luke taps her shoulder, and she jumps along with him, as Alex smiles at them, singing. "There's a boy thinking of her playin' his guitar
Searching for the answer buried in his heart
Thinkin' "ah, ha ha, is there anybody out there?"
Singin' "ah, ha ha, is there anybody out there." Luke and Julie are both hyping him up, then they all join in, hyping up the crowd. "If there's a meaning can you show me a sign
