Draco Pov

Hermione went to Gryffindor tower so I prowled the hallways once again looking for Gryffindor's doing stupid things. I hear some students chattering amongst themselves in the next hallway.
"You should have come," a male voice says. "Malfoy was so cool and Granger was so calm. It was so smooth it was like it was rehearsed." I chuckle.

Another voice perks up, female "They were arguing and teaching at the same time. It worked so well. If they weren't worst enemies anyone would assume they were a thing."
"Don't be ridiculous," a third voice exclaims, also female, it sounded familiar. "I saw them arguing a few days ago, Malfoy called her the 'M' word."

Ah the Ravenclaw from the day I got Hermione the snake earrings and the necklace. But I didn't call her a 'Mudblood' she did it herself to make our argument believable.
I growl with annoyance and appear in from of the group, one Hufflepuff, the Slytherin who caught Hermione's wand and the Ravenclaw.

"Don't go round spreading rumours, you brats," I snarl eyeing the two who attended the club, then I turn to the Ravenclaw, "And you! Why don't you go through your memory again and see how that scene played out again. Five points from Hufflepuff for making irrational assumptions and ten points from Ravenclaw for lying."

"Nothing from Slytherin?" the Slytherin asks nervously.
I chuckle, "We did slightly rehearse for the club, just the spells we were going to use, Granger said a bit of banter would keep you all focused but I did channel some anti-Gryffindor energy into duelling the swot. Five points to Slytherin for good analysis and ten points for House Unity," I add looking at the different coloured ties in front of me. "Two years ago, you would never have seen a Slytherin hanging out with a Ravenclaw, let alone a Hufflepuff."

"I know," he says with a smile.

"Now go back to your business!"
They nod, two frowning faces out of three and move along.
I focus on my wedding ring which replaced the House of Malfoy ring I wore before I married Hermione. Only Blaise noticed the difference that's why he knows about us. I channel my magic into the ring to encourage the empathic link between me and Hermione and sense that Hermione is relaxed but a tad angry.

I open the magical mental link I created then mentally say 'What's wrong love?'
'Weasleys cursing a certain bleached blonde," she sighs.
"Well should I come and curse them?' I ask. 'Being Headstudent means I know all the passwords.'
'I don't want you to be hexed into oblivion.'
'I'll be careful, I'm coming to save you, my damsel in distress.'
'Really Dray?'
'I'll be there in ten.'

I rush over to Gryffindor tower, the stairs perfectly aligning for my storm and match up to the Fat Lady.
"A SLYTHERIN?!" she yelps.
"Open up madam," I say charmingly. "Head student coming through, the password is Patronus."
She sighs then her portrait swings open and I swagger in. "Way too much red in here Potter," I say as I find my way to the common room. "You should do something about that, people don't say 'Bloody Gryffindors' for nothing."

The Golden Trio, Weaslette and Longbottom all jump up with their wands out. I see Hermione quietly mutter a shield charm around me. "Hey I come in peace," I say. "I just came to fetch the other half of this badge and ask Longbottom where my immediate cousin is."

"Cousin?" Potter and Longbotton exclaim.
"I didn't even know you had a cousin attending Hogwarts," Potter says surprised.

I shake my head, "Do some research Potter! I'm related to both you and the three blood traitors in the room, even if two of them are almost squibs. Now if you don't mind, Granger! You are needed."
Hermione lowers her wand and sighs dramatically "Sorry guys, I've got to go."
She walks over to me then we leave the room ignoring the protests behind us.
We get as far away from the Fat Lady as possible then Hermione chuckles, "Nice save, they'll be gobsmacked for hours. I can imagine he letters being written to Mrs Weasley as we speak.
I laugh, "Anything for my dear damsel."
