History Holds Secrets (2/3)

Katsuki jerked awake as the bus stopped in front of the museum. He rubbed his eyes, whipping the sleep from them. He sat in his seat confused for about 5 seconds before shaking his head and standing up.

He made his way down the bus aisle and off the bus. The class was there lined up and ready to go in. Aizawa took attendance, everyone was there so he led the students inside.

There was a tour guide inside ready to start the tour. The class chatted excitedly as they headed to the first exhibit. Katsuki walked in the back, Todoroki was in front of him.

"This is our quirk exhibit. This is where we show how quirks came into this world and made it what it is today." The tour guide said cheerfully.

Katsuki yawned and zoned out. He kept thinking of his dream, it was confusing. Why was Todoroki in it? Why was it set in some medieval fantasy era? Why? Why? Why?

The class walked by two huge wooden doors. They caught Katsuki's eye, nothing said they couldn't go in. Time seemed to slow as he made his decision on whether to enter the room or not.

He then looked ahead and saw the half and half boy. Katsuki gulped and grabbed the back of Shoto's shirt. The ash-blonde quickly dragged the two-toned male into the room, the doors silently closing behind them.

"Bakugou?" Shoto asked when he saw who had dragged him away from the front rest of the class.

Shoto's back faced the rest of the room. So when he saw Katsuki's face in awe he was confused.

"Bakugou?" Shoto asked again only to have Katsuki point to the rest of the room.

Shoto gulped and turned around. The walls were covered in books, on floor to ceiling bookshelves. There was a reading nook in the corner with two cushioned leather chairs and a table with a small lamp on it. It was the far wall that caught both of the boy's attention. It was a grande painting almost floor to ceiling. It was so big.

The painting consists of two figures in a forest background. The two figures stood holding each other. The smaller with their hands on the bigger's chest. The bigger with their hands around the smaller's waist.

What made both boy's jaws drop was who was in the painting. the shorter male was Shoto Todoroki and the taller being Katsuki Bakugou.

"That..." Shoto trailed off.

"Is you and me..." Katsuki finished.

"How?"

"I don't know, but I believe it has something to do with the dream I had on the way here."

"What?" Shoto asked, confused.

"I had a dream on the way here. It involved me running through a forest, then there was a hut, you lived in the hut, apparently, we were dating, and I think we died." Katsuki spoke as he rushed forward to one of the bookcases and ran his fingers against the spines.

"Look for clues in these books," Katsuki spoke as he took down a leather-covered book and flipped through the pages. Shoto nodded, still a bit confused but ran to the opposite bookcase nonetheless.

"Here!" Shoto exclaimed after they looked for a good half an hour or so.

"What'd you get?" Katsuki asked, Shoto pointed to the old looking book in his hands. Shoto walked with the book to the chars in the corner.

He flicked the lamp on and sat in one of the chairs, "It looks to be some sort of old history textbook."

"Ok well read it!" Katsuki said, he wanted to get to the bottom of this.

"King Bakugou Katsuki was a fair ruler, he ruled with an iron fist but was also kind to his subjects. The kingdom loved him and he loved his kingdom. Soon disaster hit when his own mother decided to take back the kingdom for herself. When Bakugou's mother ruled she was a tyrant and a dictator."

"His mother rebelling and trying to take back the kingdom caused King Bakugou to flee his kingdom. With the clothes on his back and nothing else he left his kingdom. They say he traveled through the forest for five days and five nights. Soon Katsuki found haven at his alleged lover's home. Shoto Todoroki and King Bakugou were rumored to have been courting for years prior."

"Todoroki being the kind soul he was, took his lover in. No one knows what happened in the hut before the guards found them in Todoroki's home. Both the King and his lover were stabbed without hesitation on sight. The kingdom later fell into chaos and crumbled. The only thing that remains today is the hut that the two lovers tragically died in." Shoto finished and cleared his throat.

"Well then..." Katsuki spoke, "When did all this happen?" Katsuki asked.

"Uh, it says here all of this happened in the year 1650. King Bakugou ruled from 1645 to 1650 though. He was born in 1635 so he only ruled for 5 years. But those were the best five years for that kingdom even though King Bakugou ruled at the young age of 11 to 16. He was 16 when he died, same with his lover Todoroki." Shoto said.

"So...does that mean...we are reincarnations of King Katsuki bakugou and his lover Shoto Todoroki..." Katsuki asked hesitantly.

"That would make the most sense." Shoto shrugged and set the book down.
