The Grande dinner

Ariana's POV

When y/n told me that she was having dinner with her family, it made me realize that I haven't had a family dinner since forever, so I pitched the idea to my mom yesterday when the office incident with y/n happened.

I'm currently on my way to my moms house. It didn't take long for me to arrive since I listened to music to pass the time.

I got out of my car and just walked straight into the house since she knew I was coming.

"Ariana, you're here" my nonna said

"Yea, sorry I'm a little late, there was a bit of traffic" I said

"It's okay" mom came in the living room and said

"Frankie should be here any second" she said

She was right. Right as she said that, Frankie and Hale walked in. I didn't mind that he brought his boyfriend because he's basically family already

"We're hereeeee" Frankie cheered

"Sorry we're late, Frankie insisted on finishing his episode of gossip girl" hale said

"It's no worries, Ariana just walked in as well" nonna said

"Well everyone come eat. The foods already done" my mom said making everyone stand up and walk to the kitchen

The table was already set, I assume because of nonna because of how neat the napkins were placed. I took a seat in between Frankie and nonna

"So Ariana, what's new?" My mom asked

"Well, I'm working on another album" I said

"Another one!?" Frankie asked shocked

"Yupp" I smiled

"We can't wait to hear it" Hale said

"Oh Joan let Frankie and Hale have their fantasies" nonna said

Frankie just got done telling us how he wants Hale to propose

"What about you Ari?" My mom asked

"What?" I asked

"Are you seeing anyone?" She asked

I gulped. I never told my family I was bi, mainly because I didn't know I was.

I guess now would be a good time to tell them

"Well actually, I met this really cool girl.." I paused waiting for their response

"Well, continue" Frankie said now excited

"Her name is y/n" I said

"Y/n, like y/n Knight?" Frankie asked

"That's the one" I smiled

"Oh shoooot, okay" he said

"Tell us about her" nonna said

"How'd you two meet?" My mom asked

"I was walking to the studio and some asshole was talking in the phone and knocked all my papers out of my hand and it just so happened she was walking pass as well, so she helped me pick up all my papers" I explained

"That's so cute oh my god" Frankie said

"So you like her?" Hale asked

"I think so" I said and looked around to see no one shocked

"We always knew you were into women in some way" nonna blurted

"Mom!" My mom said

"What? It's true" nonna said

"What how?" I asked

Everyone just looked at each other

"We just knew" Frankie said

Not really wanting to get into too much detail, i left it at that

"So do you and y/n still talk?" My mom asked

"Everyday. I go to her job almost everyday to see her" I said

"Someone's love struck" Hale said

"i actually wrote a song about her" I admitted

"Will it be on the new album?" Frankie asked

"It will" I said

"What is it called?" My mom asked

"That's a surprise. I'll let you all listen to it really soon. When it's all done and in it's final product" I said

"I can so see you and y/n together" Frankie said

"Im still not sure if I can. I'm hoping I find out soon because I don't want to end up wasting my time, or hers for that matter" I said

"We know, we don't want you hurt" my mom said

"I doubt y/n would hurt you. I've heard she's the sweetest person" Hale said

"She is. She's such a sweetheart. She cares a lot" I smiled

"Judging by that smile, you realllyyy like her" Frankie said

"I think I do" I said with a sigh

"Oh my god, you should so ask her in date" Frankie clapped

"We're actually going out to dinner tomorrow night" I said

"This is perfect" Frankie said

"What else will you and her be doing?" He asked genuinely curious

"I think just dinner. I don't know though, she's always full of surprises" I laughed just thinking about it

"What does she look like?" Nonna asked

"Here" i said, pulling out my phone and pulled up a picture

"Oh my, she is very beautiful, Ariana" nonna said

"Let me have a look" my mom said

"You weren't kidding" my mom said

"She's gorgeous. You'd make a beautiful couple" my mom smiled at me, handing me my phone back

"Yeaaaa, I know" I said just staring at the picture with a smile on my face

"Well, we support you all the way" my mom said

"Of course" nonna said

"Obviously we do" Hale spoke for him and Frankie

"Thank you guys" I smiled

"I only support you if I get to be in the wedding" Frankie said

"Oh shut up. There's no wedding" I laughed at him

"Yet! There's no wedding yet" he said

"I can't wait to meet her" nonna said excited

"Oh my" my mom said

We continued our dinner and out talk about random things. I feel like a weight had been lifted off my shoulder even though I knew they would accept me because Frankie's gay.

The night went smoothly, even though I didn't plan On telling them about y/n, I'm glad I did.
