Y/n POV

I was a tad bit late this morning due to the fact that I got caught up in talking to Ariana. It doesn't matter though, because I'm the boss.

"Good morning Ms, Knight. Running behind this morning?" My secretary Samantha asked

"Just a little" I smiled and winked at her

"Oh and Samantha, please, call me y/n, we're like the same age" I laughed

"Right, sorry, you've said it before, it just feels weird" she said

"Don't feel weird, we're all cool" I said

"Have a good day Y/n" she said as she saw me walking to the stairs

"You too, Samantha" I smiled

I made my way to my office and shut the door. I signed into my computer and everything, then I heard a knock

"Come in" I said

"Hey y/n, just here to tell you your agenda for the day" Jake, my scheduler said

"Cool, let's hear it" I said

"At nine thirty you have a meeting with Billie and Finneas and at ten thirty you have a meeting with someone named M.E.B" he explained

"Who's M.E.B?" I asked

"Not sure, maybe it's a stage name" he said

"Okay cool, thank you" I said

"No problem, I'll leave you to it" he said closing my door on his way out

I looked at my phone clock to see it was nine. I still had thirty minutes until my first meeting with Billie and Finneas. I used that time to respond to some emails and get everything set up.

This is honestly the boring part of the job, emails

"Come in" I said after I heard a knock at my door

"Hey y/n" Finneas said

Damn time flew by

"Hey Finneas, Billie" I nodded

"You ready?" He asked

"Yea, let's get started"

The meeting went great. Billie just wanted to tell me that's she was ready to start working on her second album and Finneas is thinking about switching over to my record label since I give my artists more freedom and say in their work.

I patiently wait for my next meeting by responding to even more emails and negotiating Finneas out of his old record contract.

"Come in" I responded to a knock at my door

"Hi honey" my mom said

"Hey, mom. What are you doing here?" I asked getting up to hug her

"Just came to see how everything is going. Why do you always wear such tall heals?" She asks

"I- what ? These are flats" I laughed

"Oh right, you're just tall, my five five giant" she joked

"Gee thanks" I giggled

"I'm so beyond proud of you" she said looking around my office

"You inspired me to do all this" I said wrapping my arm around her shoulders as she kissed my cheek

"I have to get going because me and dad promised to play tea party with your little sister" she said

"Okay, tell Julia I said to save me a cup" I smiled
