3rd POV
"Since I was born, it's felt like there's an immobile stone atop my head." Leona softly said. His fierce and proud green eyes were now dull and shaken as him and Y/n watch the memory play."Huuh.... His Highness Farena is so bright and cheerful but..." A male servant whispered to a female servant. "Why is his younger brother so hard to please..." The male servant sighed heavily.
"On top of that, he can use magic that can change anything into sand. So terrifying..." The femalle servant shivered a bit. Soon, another servant went up to the two.
"Could the two of you keep your mouths shut? What if someone heard you?" The other male servant scolded the two.
"Had I been born first, I'm sure they'd sing a different tune." Leona muttered. ""His Highness Leona is so thoughtful and an extremely formidable wizard. Completely different from his carefree brother.""
"Leona..." Y/n felt sorry for the Lion.
"But because I was born second instead." Leona clenched his jaw tightly. "Everything I do gets nitpicked, they extol the first born at the expense of the second. No matter what I do, I'll never be first."
"Leona! Why were you not present at the ceremony today?" A loud and deep voice came echoing as Y/n turned her head back to the memory. It was the King of the Savannah.
"Ceremony? Aah, that Doting-Parents-Party you threw to show off your son to the people?" A younger Leona sarcastically said to his Brother. "My apologies. It seems I fell back to sleep."
"It's an important day to show the people the face of their future King." His brother, Farena, told Leona.
"It truly is an auspicious day. It's the day the loathed second prince forever lost his claim to the throne." Leona groaned lightly, showing how he was annoyed and frustrated.
"Don't talk like that!" Farena told Leona with his hands on his hips.
"The first born really has it easy." Leona growled. "Even if all you do is lazy about sleeping or singing all day, you can become King." Farena looked at his brother and sighed.
"Leona... You are intelligent. Certainly there are things you can do for this country even though you can't become king." Farena said to his brother with a caring smile.
"If becoming King was something achieved with intelligence, I would have no shortage on motivation." Leona groaned again, getting fed up with this. With that, the young Leona turned away from us brother and walked out of the room.
"Leona. Stop right there, Leona!" His brother tried to stop him but Leona was looking mg gone by then.
"Why is that just because I was born a few years later I have to go through all this?" Leona asked while looking down at his feet. "I can study everything, learn all the magic there is in the world.... From the moment I was born until the day I die, I will never be seen as greater than my brother and I will never be King. Why was I born as the second prince? Why will I forever be barred from being number one? Why? Why? Why? Life is unfair." Leona clenched his fists tightly as his knuckles turned white.
"Leona." With Y/n's hand in his shoulder, Leona's Memory faded away and was replaced with Y/n's. There they stand in a playground at a park. A group of children were playing Magift with their own Magical Pens. A certain little girl caught Leona's attention the most. H/c hair, E/c eyes, pale skin. That was little Y/n.
"Where.....?" Leona doesn't know what to say as he looked around.
"In my memories..." Y/n answered. "This was... My first time playing Magift with others." Y/n told Leona as the two watch what will happen next in the old memory.
"AGH!" Little Y/n was sent flying back a foot or two as a boy with ebony hair ran up to her to help.
"Ha! Ha! Ha!! How pathetic! This little street rat can't even play Magift properly!" An arrogant boy laughed at the girl as the boy's friends joined in the teasing.
"You're nothing but a peasant to the King of Magift!" An arrogant girl laughed.
"So you better run and hide rat for you will never outplay our King!" Another arrogant boy said while sticking his tongue out.
"Those little brats." Leona growled. After the group of spoiled little brats left the playground, little Y/n gritted her teeth in frustration.
"Y-Y/n! A-Are you ok?" The boy with ebony hair asked the girl with worried eyes.
"Hoo!!" Little Hooty hooted in as well. Also feeling worried for his owner and friend.
"I'm ok, I'm ok. Just a few scratches is all!" Little Y/n smiled at the boy. But soon looked down at her Magical Pen.
"On that day, I told myself this, "If push comes to shove, work twice as hard and you'll succeed". So I did just that. I worked as much as I could to beat those arrogant spoiled kids back at the village." Y/n told Leona as he turned to face her. "And when the time came to play again, I gave it my all." Leona's eyes widened a bit by the girl as his head snapped back at the memory.
"That's not fair! You cheated you cheating cheaty cheater!!" The arrogant boy stomped on the ground, angry at the little Y/n who one the game fair and square.
"No she didn't! She won the game fair and square! You're just being sore loser!!" The boy with ebony hair yelled at the other boy.
"No she didn't! Tell her that she chea... Ted...." The arrogant boy tinted around to see that his so called "Crew" were gone and was now showering praises at Y/n.
"That was so cool!"
"The way you flew the disk was like whoosh, whaaa!!!"
"You're so cool!!!"
"Can you teach me how to do that trick where the disk zoomed passed us all?"
"I want my mommy!!!" The arrogant boy stomped on the ground again and ran straight home crying.
"That's right!! Run! Don't mess with the Queen of Magift!!" The boy with ebony hair shouted at the direction of where the arrogant boy ran off to.
"And from that day in, I worked my way up to show how much I can do. I gave it my all in everything." Y/n said as she smiled. She turned to face Leona as everything faded away as they now stand in a valley of wild flowers. "And you should too, Leona."
".... That doesn't make me King, now will it?" Leona said as he looked down.
"You really are blind." Y/n sighed.
"What?" As soon as he heard what she said, he snapped his head up to the girl.
"You're already King." Y/n told Leona. With knitted brows, Leona looked at her all confused. "You're the King Of Savanaclaw. The Savanaclaw residents looked up to you like royal subjects do to their King. You only lost sight of it due to your pride and greed to be King when you already ARE a King."
"Wise words for an Herbivore." Leona said with a smirk. Y/n only shrugged lightly.
"Sorry, did I gave off a grandma vibe?" The girl laughed a bit.
"Heh. Grandma or not, that's some next level advice you just gave me...." Leona chuckled a bit. "It's about time for me to get back to Savanaclaw."
"That's a relief. You better wake up you sleepy Lion." And with those words coming form the girl, everything faded into black.
"Hey! Wake up!" Leona heard Grim's voice from the darkness as he slowly opens his eyes.
