3rd POV
Night quickly fell upon Scarabia and everyone was either in the lounge or in thier respective rooms. For the Octavinelle trio and the Ramshackle residents however, they were in the guest room to talk about what had happened today.
"Today we had Happy Kalim." Grim said, a bit shocked about this, but mostly glad.
"Yes, that was the Kalim that I know." Azul said, nodding.
"When he switches into Scary Kalim, his eyes get this look in them like he's looking down on you and his whole manner turns scary." Hooty added.
"There's actually something more about his eyes when he switches." Y/n added.
"Hm? What do you mean?" Azul asked as he turned to the girl.
"I'm not quite sure just yet. It just looks... Different in a way. You have to see for it yourself if you want to know what I mean." Y/n said to Azul.
"Could that be just normal mood swings?" Jade asked.
"What'd'ya mean?" Floyd asked his brother, confused about what he means.
"Kalim doesn't strike me as a guy like Floyd whose moods are up and down like a rollercoaster but..." Jade explained briefly. "There is probably something else at work here."
"Jamil was saying that it's because of how Scarabia did in Magift and finals." Hooty and Grim said to Azul.
"Eh? Does Baby Otter care about that stuff?" Floyd tilted his head a bit, not really sure if what Hooty and Grim was saying was true or not.
"Baby Otter?" Grim muttered out.
"He's talking about Kalim. Floyd likes to give people nicknames based on sea creatures to show affection." Jade explained to Grim. "For you, based on your adorable, plump silhouette, he calls you "Seally". For the two Owls, Hooty is called "Pufferfish" since he seemed to have a habit of puffing his feathers and Owlbert is "Guppy" since he looks like a new born baby Owl."
"What is this "Plump" business!?" Grim huffed.
"And what's with the "Puffing" habit!? I don't do that!" Hooty huffed.
"You're doing it right now." Y/n sighed. Owlbert seemed to like his Sea Creature nickname.
"I picked Baby Otter 'cause he's always grinning while he plays drums, just like an Otter." Floyd explained briefly.
"Yes, he really isn't the type to become emotionally unstable due to low grades." Azul said as he pushed up his glasses. "I think it's very possible that there is another reason for it. We need to learn more about Kalim if we are to solve this problem. Jade. Could you go have "A Talk" with him?"
"As you wish. Jamil will probably be difficult but, Kalim should have no problem having an honest "Talk" with me." Jade said with a small smile.
"Then while you're doing that, I'll have Sea Snake hang out with me." Floyd added.
"That sounds wonderful. May I also take part in that?" Azul smirked. He's not gonna miss out on this opportunity to know Jamil more.
"Fufufu..." The three of them chuckled and smiled.
"These guys, their smiles don't reach their eyes, y'know...." Grim whispered to Y/n.
"These guys are freaking me out!!" Hooty whisper-yelled at Y/n.
"Creepy or not, they're here to help us." Y/n whispered back to the two.
"So, shall we get going?" Azul said to Y/n and the others. They nodded as they went out to find Kalim and Jamil.
