☀️ Investigation: Part 7☀️

Y/n's POV
We soon started our investigation about the so called "Accidents" at the infirmary where most of the injured are.

"The guy who hurt his leg is in here somewhere. Find 'em!" Grim said as the four of us looked around the room.

"What's with you guys?" A Heartslabyul resident asked. He was resting on the bed while his buddy is sitting next to him.

"You're those guys from Ramshackle Dorm that were at the Unbirthday Party." His buddy said as he recognized us. We soon approached them.

"Oooh, look at how famous we are!" Grim said as he tugged on my sleeve.

"We'd like to hear about how you got injured." I told the two residents of Heartslabyul.

"I don't really get it either." The injured student told us. "Him and I were just talking... Before I knew it, I'd fallen down the stairs." He explained as I write it down in my Jornal.

"Yeah. It wasn't like be stumbled or slipped or anything." His buddy added.

"Almost like my body just kinda left forward... I can't really put it into words well." The student shakes his head with a small sigh.

"I see. I see." Grim nodded.

"Thank you for your cooperation." I told them with a smile. "I hope you get better soon." We soon left the infirmary and head to our next destination.

"Hey, hey. You got hurt pretty bad not too long ago, right? Tell us about it." Grim said to the guy. But it was a.... Pomefiore student. So you know how difficult it was than the Heartslabyul ones.

"And who are you guys exactly?" The student asked with his hand on his hip.

"He is upset that he can't participate in Magift in top condition right now!" His buddy told us.

"How could you be so tactless, throwing salt onto someone's wound like that! I challenge you! Pick up the glove!" The guy said dramatically. All we wanted was to get the information, not a battle. Oh boy. Pomefiore students...

"I think you shouldn't at your condition right now. You'll only get hurt more, not to mention your make up will get all ruined by stress and you'll get wrinkles if you're stressed out." I told them. Thank goodness I know what Pomefiore students are like.

"Hmph. Fine. I'll tell you about that day. You're just lucky I don't want to look like an old hag!!" He said dramatically once again. I just inwardly sighed as he explained.

"It happened in the laboratory." His buddy said. "Out of nowhere, he grasped a pot of boiling Potion with his bare hands and threw the whole class into an uproar! Then he wnet and knocked over the pot all over the counter. I was so surprised!" Wow... That's... Wow...

"Are you going to tell them everything!?" The student shakes his friend by the collar a bit, looking distressed.

"Mmhmm mmhmm. I see." Grim nodded as I took down notes about it.

"Please take care." I bowed as we went on our way out.

We soon arrived back at Ramshackle Dorm to see how much info we've collected.

"I can't see anyone we talked to as anything other than clumsy." Grim said as he looked at the notes in my jornal. "Do you still think these weren't accidents?" Grim asked.

"It has to be accidents, right?" Hooty asked.

"Hoo..." Owlbert on the other hand doesn't know either. I was debating on whether it was just accidents or something else entirely. The doorbell suddenly rang.

"Hm? Who's there?" Grim asked.

"Yooo. Oh, Grim you look better." It was Ace.

"Ugh, it's just you. Listen, I'm pretty busy right now so I don't have time to hangout." Grim told Ace as he jumped down to the floor.

"Busy? You're not gonna finish the homework?" Ace asked.

"Actually..." I started to explain to Ace about our little mission.

"Hmmm. People getting injured suspiciously, huh?" Ace tilted his head as I nodded.

"But while we were listening to them, it just sounded like they were being clumsy or getting caught up in the excitement for the tournament." Grim told Ace.

"But we still don't know for sure. We still have lack of information about the whole situation right now." I added. Soon, we heard footsteps running this way. We turned to see...

"Deuce...?" Me, and Hooty muttered out.

"Hoo?" Owlbert hooted with his head tilted a bit.

"Ace! This is bad!" Deuce practically shouted as he stopped next to me. He sounds distressed about something.

"Huh? What's got your panties in a bunch..." Ace asked. My face went red a bit.

"ACE!!" Hooty pecked his head hard.

"Ack! What!?" Ace asked as he rubbed the spot where Hooty pecked him.

"You do realized that I'm right here, right?" I asked him with a glare.

"Huh- Ah! Sorry!!" He bowed, apologizing for his ignorance. His face was red as a tomato.

"Whatever. Anyways, Deuce, what happened?" I faced Deuce as he was trying to catch his breath a bit.

"Clover got hurt falling down the stairs...!!" Deuce explained to us. Trey Clover, the person who is the least to be clumsy, fell down the stairs!? Am I hearing it right!?

"Wha!?" Me, Ace, Grim, and Hooty were taken aback by the information bright by Deuce.

"Frgna! You can't mena that unflappable Trey?" Grim asked, his voice was about shaken. This was no clumsy accident.

"I can't really picture him being clumsy OR getting caught up in the excitement." I said to them. "Something's definitely not tight here."

"You're right, Trey isn't the kind of guy to just trip over nothing." Ace nodded. Flashbacks of the Overblot battle proves it.

"Let's go ask him why happened!" Grim huffed as we soon left Ramshackle Dorm and rushed to Heartslabyul in a hurry.

"I don't like this at all..." Hooty mumbled.

"I agree." Grim nods.

"Something or someone must be behind all this. But who would do something like this?" I muttered.

"Let's find out!!" Deuce said.

"Right!"
