3rd POV
In the Guest Room, the Octavinelle trio and the Ramshackle residents talk about what they have found so far.
"Thank you for your hard work Jade. Did you have a good "Talk" with Kalim?" Azul asked Jade.
"Yes, and your hunch was correct." Jade said to Azul. "It's highly that Kalim is being brainwashed and controlled by magic."
"Brainwashed!?" Grim yelped out a bit.
"And controlled....?" Hooty added.
"I feel like I've heard this before..." Y/n mumbled softly.
"Is that even possible?" Grim asked.
"This is different from Ruggie's magic and seems to be more along the lines of hypnotism." Jade explained briefly. "However, it is a much higher level technique that requires a lot of magic to use so there are exceedingly few wizards that can use it..."
"We may be dealing with someone who's well skilled in higher level magic than we thought. That means they may be more dangerous if we're not careful enough." Y/n muttered out whiles taking a mental note.
"You gotta be on Azul's level or it's not happening." Floyd added.
"I would probably even find it difficult to control sentient creatures, like humans." Azul stated.
"But I don't think there's anyone as good as Azul in Scarabia." Grim said.
"Oya? How about Y/n? I believe she's skilled enough as Azul is." Jade said as he glanced over to the girl.
"No, I'm not on Azul's level. I'm still a freshman so I've still got a lot to learn. Azul has more experience than me so he's most likely to be a better contender for it." Y/n stated.
"That's reasonable." Hooty shrugged lightly.
"Kalim can only create a bit of water with his Unique Magic." Grim said as he hopped on the bed. "And Jamil said he only ever hits the average in terms of grades."
"I wonder about that. They say a smart cat hides it's claws." Azul muttered.
"So by who and what for is Baby Otter being brainwashed exactly?" Floyd asked his brother.
"Unfortunately, I could not get him to say." Jade answered.
"Even with your Unique Magic?" Floyd asked once more.
"His Unique Magic?" Grim mumbled.
"Now that you mention it, we haven't seen your Unique Magic at all. What's it like?" Hooty asked, tilting his head to the side.
"... Floyd. Aren't I always telling you that I can't approve of you disclosing everything about our Unique Magic to others?" Jade sighed and shook his head.
"... It's probably not a terrible thing if it's disclosed to Y/n." Azul said to Jade.
"He's right. I can't really use all the Unique Magics I hear. Some I can't really control properly, or be even effective enough without at least some training with it." Y/n explained. "So knowing isn't going to suddenly make me able to defend against it or use it." Jade sighed and think for a second before speaking.
"I guess it's fine." Jade mumbled. "Those who know how my Unique Magic works almost always then takes precautions against it. So I really don't like divulging it... My Unique Magic, Shock The Heart... Allows me to make another person speak the truth one time."
"Kyah!? So you can't lie at all!?" Grim stuttered out.
"... That's true but I can only use it once per person." Jade explained. "Once I've used it, I can never use it on that person again. It's also ineffective against those who have high magical resistance or are extremely wary, like Azul. So I save it for times the other person has their guard down or they don't have it up in the first place. It's a Unique Magic with many restrictions on it."
"It works really well on peeps that are scared outta those minds or sobbing their eyes out." Floyd laughed a bit sadistically.
"Fufufu, that is true." Jade chuckled along with Floyd.
"That smile of yours terrifies me..." Grim gulped as he hide behind Y/n a bit.
"Sadistic fishes..." Y/n mumbled to herself.
"Anyway, Kalim has always been an open and friendly person so he practically cast it on himself." Jade explained briefly. "However..."

Back at the Treasure Vault, Kalim was about to be under the influence of Jade's Unique Magic, Shock The Heart.
"Look into my left eye... Yes... "There's no need to be afraid, I'm here to help you"." Jade said as he uses his Unique Magic on Kalim.
"[Shock The Heart]"
"Eh?" Kalim's mind slowly drifted off slowly.
"You must answer my next question honestly." Jade said to Kalim. "Do you know who at this school can use hypnosis magic?"
"I do." Kalim answered.
"And their name is...?" Jade asked again.
"I cannot say." Kalim answered once again, but this time, Jade was shocked to hear this, especially a very open person like Kalim.
"Eh?" Jade was speechless.
"Under no circumstances can I reveal their name." Kalim said to Jade. "I made a promise long ago so I cannot say."
".... I see. Understood." Jade nodded. Kalim soon snapped back to his senses.
"... Hm? Huh? What happened...?" Kalim asked Jade as he held his head, feeling a bit dizzy.
"Thank you very much. Thank to you, everything has become clear." Jade said to Kalim with a smile.
"Oh, ooh? Alright, I don't really get it but... If you're happy than I'm happy!" Kalim smiled, confused but glad.
"Yes." Jade muttered softly.

"That's what's happened." Jade has finished explaining what had happened in the Treasure Vault with Kalim.
"Hahahah! Fascinating." Azul laughed. "So this means your Unique Magic was defeated by Kalim's humanity."
"It frustrates me to no end but, yes, that's correct." Jade said to Azul with a slight smile.
"His smile doesn't match with what he said at all...." Hooty whispered to Y/n, stuttering a bit in the process.
"Surprising isn't it...." Y/n mumbled.
"Baby Otter seems like he's got a big mouth too." Floyd added.
"That's shows just how much he treasures that promise." Jade stated.
"Once you make a promise, you keep it, and never break it." Y/n muttered, remembering what her adoptive mother said to her before.
"Fufu... Although, that stubbornness may have gone and revealed the truth of everything happening in Scarabia." Azul chuckled softly. "Let's bring this to an end and catch the tail hiding in the sand. I have a plan. First..."
