3rd POV
Ruggie Bucchie. The Vice Dorm Head of Savanaclaw, and a loyal Hyena to Leona Kingscholar. A theif with a heart of gold. A lover of dandelions. Well, a bittersweet love for the yellow flower that is.
It all started with a sunny spring morning. It all started with that very day. It all started.... With her.
Ruggie, as always, has to go fetch some food for his friend and also a lazy head lion of a dorm head. It was the Lunch Time rush when Ruggie made it to the cafeteria. He made his order for Leona and himself but when he was about to pay for the food, he was short on cash. Only enough for one of them. He sighed as he payed for Leona's food instead. Taking the food and drink, he soon exited the cafeteria and went to the Botanical Garden to Leona. After he did his task, he dragged his feet along the halls, hands in pockets.
And that's where she came in.

"Hey, Ruggie!" Ruggie's little ears on his head twitched as he turned around to see who it was. It was non other than Y/n Wonderlin.
"Heh? Masochi-Kitty Y/n?" Ruggie hummed as he turned to the girl.
"I saw you in the cafeteria earlier. Did you eat lunch yet?" Y/n asked the Hyena. Ruggie shook his head no. "I see. In that case." Y/n pulled out a two sandwiches from her bag. It was freshly bought from the cafeteria. "Here!" When Y/n smiled at Ruggie, he felt warm inside.

"Thank you." Ruggie said, taking the sandwiches from the girl. And that's where he knew.... He fell for her.

It was the end of the day as Ruggie walks alongside Leona. It was a fairly windy day. Leaves, flowers, homework papers were flying around. At one point, even someone's blazer was seen flying away as the student was trying to get it back. Ruggie noticed some dandelions flying in the air. And when he turned to the direction of the dandelions, he saw a field of dandelions and he saw.... Her smile. Her eyes. Her laughing. He saw Y/n.

"Oi, Ruggie." Leona has been calling the Hyena for a while now. When Leona turned to where Ruggie was looking at his expression turned from annoyed to sorry. The lion approached his Hyena friend, placing his hand on his shoulder. Ruggie turned to face Leona. "You like her, don't you?"
"Was it that obvious...?" Ruggie chuckled nervously, a blush spreading in his face.
"It is." Leona said to Ruggie. ".... When did it happen?"
"What?"
"When did you fall?" Leona asked.
"Just a week ago." Ruggie answered. "Why?"
"It's.... It's nothing...." Leona said to Ruggie leaving his friend all confused.

"Hey, Y/n." Ruggie greeted the girl who was sitting underneath the shade of an oak tree near by.
"Oh! Hey, Ruggie." Y/n smiled back at the boy. Ruggie sat down next to Y/n as the two chatted away. They laughed, they smiled. Cracking a few jokes now and then. Ruggie couldn't help but admire Y/n's beautiful face the entire time. He has fallen for the girl hard.

"Hey Ruggie, I've got something to say to you." Y/n said to the Hyena. Ruggie's heart was beating fast. Was this the confession he's been dream of coming true? Is this it? Is this his dream finally coming into reality?
"Wh-What's the news?" Ruggie cursed under his breath for stuttering.
"I...." This is it. "I...." This was the moment he was waiting for. "I...." The words he's been waiting for....
"I'm engaged."
Never happened.

Ruggie was frozen in shock. He opened his mouth to speak but nothing came out. His mind was blank. All he could think of is Why?
"Who-Who's the lucky guy?" Ruggie stuttered out.
"It's Leona." Ruggie's heart dropped to the ground and shattered to a million pieces. No wonder Leona gave Ruggie a sorry filled look. They were getting married. "It's an arranged marriage. Me and Leona are getting married once we graduate."
"O-Oh..." Ruggie muttered. "Well, I hope you two will be happy in the future." Ruggie gave a smile to Y/n. Pairs of arms wrapped around Ruggie's body as he did the same kn response. He savored the warmth he felt from her hug. The love held in it.
"Thank you Ruggie. You're a great friend." Yeah. Friend....
Ruggie and Leona had a talk about what had happened that day. There weren't any shouting and yelling and cursing. Just a talk between friends.
"How long did you knew?" Ruggie asked.
"I found out about our arranged marriage when the day I saw you looking at her with that lovesick gaze." Leona answered the Hyena.
"How come you didn't tell me?"
"I was about to today since I was informed today it was confirmed. But I guess she beat me to it." Leona then placed his hand on his friend's shoulder. An apologetic look in his eyes. "I'm sorry."
"It's okay. Just.... Just take care of her for me."
"I will."

And so, Ruggie stands alone in the field of dandelions. Wishing on the ones he held in his hands that one day in their next life that she'll be his. One day he'll be holding her hand. One day he'll be saying "I Do". One day he'll say "I Love You".
"I'm in a field of dandelions. Wishing on every one that you'll be mine...." Ruggie muttered out, finally letting go of the dandelions, and all together, his feelings towards Y/n.
