The First Girl (Minho x reader)

Glade Mother

You were at lunch with all your friends, except two. Minho, obviously, was still in the maze but Chuck was nowhere to be found.
"Where's Chuck?" Newt asked "I haven't seen him all day"
"I'll go look for him" you said taking off in search of your curly haired friend.
You saw him leaning against a tree with his knees to his face.
"What's wrong Chucky?" You asked
"Nothing" he said but it was barley a whisper
"Don't try to sell me that klunk, tell me what's wrong" you sat down next to him and he sighed
"A guy, I think James was his name, kept saying that I'm no help because I'm so young"
Your anger flared with this information. No one insulted your friends and gets away with it. No. One
"Chuck, what did I tell you when you first came here two days ago?" He thought a moment and said
"Don't listen to them and that you'll be here for me" you smiled
"That's right, I'm going to handle this" you patted his head and took of looking for James.
He was standing by the gardens with the rest of the builders repairing the shed. You walked up to him, grabbed his shirt and pushed him up against the shed wall.
"What the hell!" He tried to say but you cut him off
"If I ever find out that you said one insulting word to Chuck, or touched one hair on his head, I will personally through you off the cliff. Got it!" He was literally shaking under your glare which you found funny seeing as he was a foot taller than you.
He shook his head yes and you let go of his shirt "good" you said turning and walking away leaving everyone standing there shocked.
"What were you thinking dude" Gally asked James "you don't mess with anyone close to her" everyone nodded in agreement.
"Yah I'd say she's the closest thing to a mother the glades ever had" Newt said, still weeding the garden.

*the next day after dinner*
"YAH WELL AT LEAST I DO SOMETHING" you heard and looked at Chuck
"Is it just me, or did that sound like Minho?" And you heard the same voice say "WHAT DO YOU DO SHUCK FACE!"
He nodded "yah that was Minho"
You sighed and made your way to the group of gladers surrounding something. You realized it was Minho and Gally arguing rather loudly.
"YES YOU RUN THAT MAZE BUT HAVE NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT! AT LEAST I DO MORE THAN JUST MOVE MY FEET!" Gally shouted back getting in Minhos face.
Minho pulled Gallys shirt so they were the same height "listen here shuck face, I do more work than your pathetic ass ever has" you took this as your sine to jump in. You walked calmly into the circle, almost everyone's eyes on you, and grabbed both boys ears, making them have to bend down seeing as you were rather short, and pulled them out of the circle.
"OW god (y/n)!" Minho complained
"Let go!" Gally shouted
You stopped walking but held on to their ears
"listen here!" You shouted "I would like to go to bed soon, but I can't do that with you slintheads shouting at each other like five year olds! So for shucks sake act your age!" You released there ears and walked to where you slept.
"She really is the glade mother isn't she?" Chuck said
"You got that right" Newt replied
Laughing at how Minho and Gally were rubbing their ears.
Let's just say, fighting in the glade went down to a minimal.

That night you had heard Chuck moving around and mumbling to himself
"What's up Chucky? Can't sleep?" You ask
"No." He replied sadly
"I know it's a lot to handle here isn't it"
"Will you do me a favor?" He asked and you said
"Yah what is it?"
"Can you sing me a song?" You were rather taken aback by this request
"Oh I can't sing Chuck" he scoffed
"Yes you can, we walk in on you sing while you cook all the time, and we can hear you in the shower from outside" you blushed at this
"Ok I think I remember one, close your eyes"
He did and you started, it was slow and sweet.
