You woke up before anyone else, your hair a mess from tossing all night. Next to you, Minho slept peacefully and you couldn't help but smile. Getting up gently as to not wake him or anyone else up, you stretched. Feeling eyes on you, you turn around to see Minho awake.
"Stop staring Min" you whispered
"Sorry babe, can't help it" you rolled your eyes and then heard a cough from the top of the other bunk.
"You guys are gross" the tired Brit complained
A knock on the door cut of your comeback
"Rise and shine" rat man said "are you all decent?"
"No I'm indecent in front of three guys" you said sarcastically rolling your eyes
"Just checking" he walked into the room with the guards from yesterday "we've decided to give you your memory back, like it or not"
"Like hell you are" said Newt, climbing down from his bed
Thomas was just now waking up and said "you told is we didn't have too"
"I'm afraid we have no choice. We're not lying anymore and nothing's going to get done with you four in the dark, you Newt will benefit the most from a cure"
You growled lowly and stared daggers at him.
"I don't care about myself anymore" he said, and your heart shattered a bit
"Look, I know what you four must be feeling, you've seen awful things, but the worst is over. We can't take back what happened to you but it would be it would be a wast to not complete the blueprint now"
"Can't take it back? That's all you have to say?" Newt shouted
"You will never understand what you put us through" you spat
"Watch your selves" two guards pointed launchers on his and your chests
Newt looked more angry then you've ever seen him
"He's right" Minho said from next to you "if we can save you Newt, we'd be shuck idiots not to"
You knew that now they where just trying to stall until the plan could be put into action
"Les do what he says, I did work for these people. I couldn't have been totally wrong right?" Thomas said, adding to the act
"Oh please" you and Newt both said at the same time
"You'll be heroes when this is over" Janson said
"Oh shut up" Thomas said
Rat Man talked on and on about the place they where in.
"I really wish you would just shut your mouth" Newt spat
He was quiet for the rest of the walk until they reached where they had been the day before
"Where's everyone else" you asked
"The other subjects are recovering" her responded
Newt grabbed him by his suit and shoved him against the door
"Call then subjects again and I'll break your bloody neck!"
"Newt!" You tried to pry him of the man but the guards got to him first.
"Don't disable him! Let's just get this over with" Janson said
"We are not mice trying to find cheese, and tell your men to back off. I wasn't going to hurt you. Much"
You laughed a little, but Janson shot daggers at you so you shut up.
"Why do you need me?" You asked, a question that had been gnawing at the back of your head
"Pardon?" Rat man asked, confused
"If I wasn't supposed to go into the maze in the first place, why force me to do this?"
He looked to the side and didn't answer.
It all clicked
"Oh my god, I wasn't a mistake was I? You put me there on purpose and made me think you didn't!"
"It's true, both you and your friend Kaila where part of our program."
"Kaila?"
"Yes, throwing you in the mix helped study both yours and the boys brains" he tried to explain
Where the hell is she anyway!" You shouted
"I'm not at liberty to say"
"Not at liberty! Where the bloody hell is my girlfriend!" Newt shouted and you had to hold him back from attacking him again.
"Calm down, I can assure you she's safe" He tried to say
Newt was about to shout again when Thomas said
"Newt, Minho, (Y/n), I think it's time to do what we're supposed to.
We did agree on it last night"
You and Minho nervously smiled at each other and Newt balled his hands into fists.
It was now or never
