The First Girl (Minho x reader)

Runner girl

It was only three days after you and Minho got together but it felt like you had been dating forever. It was because (as everyone pointed out) you two where practically dating sense you came up in that box.
You had been working in the gardens all day and it was hotter that day than usual. You wiped sweat of your forehead for like the millionth time. Suddenly a cold jet of water hit your back.
You yelped and jumped up from the plant, spinning around to see Chuck with the hose.
"You looked a little warm" he said fighting back laughter. You took the hose and sprayed him and he squealed like a little girl and ran off.
"Um.. (Y/n)" Newt stuttered. You looked at him quizzically and he pointed to your torso.
You shirt clung to you and was completely see through. Everyone was staring at your bra showing
"Stop staring perverts!" You yelled covering your chest
"Come on" Newt said and you walked into the homestead.
"What am I going to wear?" You ask
"Well there's always-"
"I'm not wearing that dress again" you snapped
"Ok ok, but I do think your boyfriend liked it" he smirked at you and your face lit up red
"I'll go find something" he left and then came back a few moments later with a big light green button up shirt
"Where's you get this" you said gesturing for him to turn around as you changed
"It's Minhos, I didn't think he's mind" you blushed again but went back to work
You where now sitting under a tree by the maze doors, drawing in your sketch pad. You where so into your drawing that you didn't notice Minho sneaking up behind you. He covered your eyes with his hands.
"Guess who" he whispered in your ear
"Hmm... Could it be the annoying shuck face I love" you giggled when he sat next to you and pecked your lips
"Hey babe"
"Hey Min. How was the maze?" You asked
"Oh you know. Depressing, full of horrors. Want to make a reservation?" He responded and you laughed turning your attention back to your drawing
"Is that my shirt?" He asked and you smiled
"Yah, I had an accident with some water and my shirt went see through". You explained
"Well as unhappy I am with these shanks seeing my girlfriends bra before I do" you REALLY blushed at that "you look really good in my shirt" he kissed you and you went back to your drawing
"What you drawin" he asked and you showed him a perfect sketch of him
"Wow. That's really good" he stared at it in aw
"No it's not" you say trying to put it away but he grabbed it
"Yes it is. It almost captures all of my amazing looks" you just laughed
"I'm serious. Your not getting any closer to perfection than with this" he gestured to his face
"Ok you self centered slinthead, let's go to the map room"
You where the only person that wasn't a runner allowed in the map room (besides Alby and Newt). Perks of being the only girl. Before you walked much, Ben shot out of the maze carrying someone. You thought his name was Abe (Abraham Lincoln, get it? No. Ok)
"Help!" Ben shouted and you two ran over and helped carry him
"What happened?!" Minho asked
"He was stung" Ben replied and you carried him into the homestead and up the stares, putting him in one of the spare rooms.

You could barley sleep. He got back in time to get the serum but the bloodcurdling screams still keep you awake
"You need to sleep baby" Minho mumbled into your hair
"I can't" you whisper back
"I'm right here, nothing's going to hurt you" he reassured you and a sense of calm washed over you as the you where transported to the land of sleep.

The next morning Minho woke you to say goodbye. You helped him pack again and watched him run into the maze and around the corner.
You found Alby and Newt talking about something that was obviously troubling them
"What's wrong?" You asked them
"Abe doesn't want to be a runner anymore, we didn't have many to begin with" Newt explained
"Hmm..." You has been thinking about this for days. Well I guess this was the time to bring it up
"What about me?"
"What?" They both looked at you confused
"You said that I would be a good runner when we picked my jobs, and I thought about it. I want to be a runner" you explained
"No" Newt said
"Why not!" You asked
"Because you could get hurt"
"Anyone can get hurt!"
"Wow wow just cool it. I don't like it much either but she's obviously capable" Alby stepped in
"Ok fine, but I know Minho won't stand for this" Newt headed toward the homestead

"Absolutely not!" Minho shouted "I will not let her go in there again!"
"I'm not that fragile" you mumbled
"Ok let's take a vote, we already have Minhos opinion" Alby said and they went around the table
"Ok it's settled, (y/n) will be a runner"
Most of the keepers said you should be a runner, all except Minho, Newt, Ben and Frypan being over protective brothers and boyfriend.
"You start training tomorrow" Alby tells you and you nod, walking out of the building
Minho pulled you behind a tree and he looked mad.
"Jesus Christ (y/n). Why did you have to do that! You know how dangerous it is out there"
"Yes I do Minho! Don't you think I would have thought about that first?what, do you think I can't take care if myself!" You exclaimed
He ran his fingers through his hair
"I know you can but, I just don't want you to get hurt" he looked at you with big eyes.
"Look, if I lost you... I don't know what I'd do without you. You are the best thing that's happened to me here" you pulled in the collar of his shirt, cutting him off by placing your lips to his. He was obviously surprised, his eyes where wide, but he slowly started to kiss back. He licked your lips asking for permission you gladly gave him by opening your mouth and tangling your hands in his hair. You pulled away, both of your breathing heavy.
"I'll be fine, trust me" you whispered. He brought his hand up to stroke your cheek
"Ok. Ok" he pecked your forehead and then your nose, making you giggle. "Under one condition, your running with me" you smiled and nodded. He walked to the sleeping bag with you following, climbing into the bag together with his arms wrapped protectively around you"
"I love you" he whispered
"Love you too, don't let the Grievers bite" you felt his chest shake with laughter as you fell asleep thinking one thing
