You loved him to death, there was no doubt about that.

But, he didn't love you.

You knew it when you saw his electric blue eyes land on Nya for the first time, the dopey smile you adored creeping onto his face.

Oh how you wished he would smile at you like that.

Even after you two got together, you knew by the way he sometimes gazed at Nya for more than a few seconds that his heart belonged elsewhere.

Don't get him wrong, he thought he loved you when you two got together, and you hoped that he was right.

Maybe it wouldn't have hurt so bad if you hadn't hoped.

Jay Walker, elemental master of lightning, ex-boyfriend of (Y/n) (L/n), was never yours. You knew that. His heart always belonged to Nya.

Yet, you didn't hate her, and you could never bring yourself to hate Jay. You were just heartbroken.

The day your heart was wrenched out of your chest and torn in two was the day you two broke up. He didn't cheat, although you kind of wished he had.

It would have been easier to be mad at him.

It would have given you a wonderful excuse to be angry.

But he had to go and take away that reason for anger, though you knew it would be unlikely for Jay to ever cheat anyways.

"(Y/n).. I... I'm sorry, but... Well you see, I wanted to talk to tell you that I-I still like you! But.. I.. Please don't be mad, I really don't want to hurt you c-cause you're a great girl! And in the time we were together, I was so happy! But.. I don't think I love you anymore"

Those words, it seemed to be put on replay in your mind.

You couldn't even stand to see him anymore without wanting to cry, throw up, something.

So you locked yourself in your room, only coming out to eat every now and then; even that was minimal.

Outside your door, 5 concerned friends and an ex were discussing how to help you through your heartbreak, none of them wanted to see you suffer.

"Maybe we can make her some cookies?" Lloyd suggests, looking out to the group of ninja that sat around.

"Do you really think cookies would help?" Kai remarked from his position on the couch.

"Well, I don't see you offering any ideas, Kai" Jay says.

"I don't wanna hear it from the guy who started all of this. Why'd you have to go and break her heart Jay!" Kai says, rising from his seat.

"Guys" Zane started as Jay began to stand as well.

"I did it for her own good, Kai" Jay retorted, to which Kai scoffed.

"For her own good, right, like I believe that. You're just being selfish!" He yells back, balling his hands into a fist.

"I was not!"

"We're too! She loved you, and you dumped her!"

"Did not! It would have been cruel to lead her on like that!"
