Spooky Movies too Spooky! (Jay)

I was looking up fluff prompts and found one that I just could not pass up for Jay XD It was too.. well. it was just too Jay for me to not use it! Well, at least to me it was. I only used it for part tho...

Jay wondered why he ever agreed to this.

He absolutely loved (Y/n) and would do anything for her, no doubts about it whatsoever.

But, even with that being said, he wondered what in the whole land of ninjago had him agreeing to watch scary movies at midnight when it wasn't even anywhere near Halloween.

It could have been his pride, not wanting to look like a cowered. It might have been those gorgeous (E/c) eyes of (Y/n) that had been nearly impossible to say no to.

It was most likely the fact that he thought he could handle a spooky movie, after all he was one of the saviors of ninjago right? He's fought many fearsome foes, surely he could handle a scary movie.

'... I WAS WRONG!! I WAS WRONG!! I WAS WRONG!! I WAS WRONG!! OHHHHH SWEEET MOTHER MAY I THIS IS TOO SCARY' these were his panicked thoughts as he tried not to scream out loud.

(Y/n) was cuddled up next to him on the couch, blanket hovering over her face as she watched, she was clearly intrigued.

He initially imagined this to play out like one of those sweet moments, you know, like the classic couples.

Where (Y/n) would get scared, latch onto him, and he would tell her that it was only fake and he would protect her no matter what then give her a comforting hug as they continue the movie.

THIS WAS NOT THE CASE AT ALL. He was trying his absolute hardest to keep his eyes on the screen, but it seemed the movie was a bit much for him.

"Hey (Y/n)" he starts. "Hmm?" Was her reply, not taking her eyes off the TV. They were getting to the most suspenseful part. The part that Jay never enjoyed, not one bit.

"This movie is really scary, but you're into it so I'm trying not to cover my face the whole time, but- WHAT IS THAT?" Jay yelled as a scary figure came up on the tv.

It strikes its victim, and shrilling screech can be heard from the movie.

He jumped, startled, and he latched onto (Y/n), squeezing his eyes shut. He buries his face in the crook of her neck, shielding his vision from the TV.

He hears her chuckling, "Jay Walker, one of the six beloved saviors of ninjago, facing all dangers at their worse, oh so very brave indeed " she teased in a joking voice.

He let go and looked at her with a grumpy face, crossing his arms like a young child. "I'm brave" he claims.

Another flash from the TV and a shrilling scream sent him retreating under the blankets that covered them.

He heard the click of the TV, and when he looked up, (Y/n) had changed the channel, to a comedy show.

"You didn't have to do that" Jay said, reaching for the remote to change it back. She stopped him, "It's fine. I already know how it ends anyways" she assured him.

He pulls his hand back, and smiled, "Then want some more (F/s)? Ooh or (F/d)? How about some (F/c)? Or all of them!" He asked, eyes wide like a enthusiastic little kid.
