As I stand there holding Margretta I hear the sound of another little one. Soon all seven
of the babies are awake and crying. I quickly get to work. I pick up each baby, change their
diaper, then set each one in a bouncy seat. I am still breastfeeding my little ones, but Rosalie's
are bottle fed, so I took each baby out one at a time to feed them (Except Alia, who I already fed
a little while ago).
Soon all the little ones are fed and clean. It's already 7-am, so I open the nursery door to
see if anyone else is awake. Laura, and Selena are in the playroom sitting and watching the
little ones play on the floor. Meranda, Hannah, and Melody share their own bedroom, so they're
still asleep, but they should be awake soon. Leaving the door to my nursery open I went out and
told Laura that mine and Rosalie's little ones are awake. Then, I asked Selena to help me
bring the girls out. Of course she said yes, so we got them, and we let them crawl around (the
room is fairly small, and it's completely baby proofed).
I was about to sit down when I heard a noise from the girl's room. I went
it and found Hannah, Melody, and Meranda awake in their cribs. I picked each
girl up, changed their diaper, then with Hannah on one hip, Melody on the
other, with Meranda at my side I made my way back to the playroom. I
stopped in the kitchen to put each girl in a highchair, and give her some
breakfast. Once they were full I cleaned them up and we finally made it to the
playroom. When we got there I found Rosalie sitting on a chair snuggling
Graciana. The other children seemed to be enjoying their free time, so I let the
older ones loose, and they toddled over to the toys. I happily sat down it a
chair. It was a relief to be able to just sit and rest. Melissa started fussing, so I
picked her up and rocked her until she fell asleep.
While I was sitting there holding my sleeping baby Meranda started
screaming and trying to hit Hannah who had taken her toy. Selena was
quick to jump in and break up the fight, giving Meranda back the toy, but
telling her not to hit. All of us girls have such a close bond, way closer than
friends. It amazes me that If I would have not gotten pregnant I never would've
met any of these sweet girls, although I also wouldn't be pregnant again... I
don't know if it's worth it to get pregnant, but I know that I got lucky. Even if I
was a full grown adult when I got pregnant I would've had to deal with 4
babies at once. It is nice to have three other people to help me when more
than two of my babies are crying at once. I don't know how I would've
managed without this beautiful support system. I don't think any of us would
be able to do this alone. It's a team effort, and we're the best team.
