Halfway through putting my little ones to bed I threw up all over Alia and Melissa. Rosalie

very sweetly took them and gave them a bath, while I got myself cleaned up. Then, I got them to

sleep, and we went into the living room to get some rest while the little ones slept. Rosalie

and Selena said that they would cook us lunch, so Laura sat with me in the living room while

I rested. "I know Selena, and Rosalie's stories, but you never really told me yours." I said.

"Well" said Laura, "I grew up in a supposedly happy family. I had twin older brothers who were

almost 6 years older than me, and two parents. At least from the outside, we looked like a

perfect family. But the truth is, my parents always fought, and they would hurt me and my

siblings. My brothers got the brunt of the abuse, because when one of my parents would go to

hit me a lot of the time one of my brothers would step between us. They were the only reason I

survived my childhood. My parents were nice when my brothers were young, but by the time I

was born they were both addicted to drugs. I loved my brothers and looked up to them so much.

Then they graduated high school and it was time for them to leave for college. I was so scared

that I wouldn't be able to survive my parents. Before my brothers left they introduced me to

their friend. His name was Peter, and he was a very kind boy. My brothers said that he would stay

at the house and keep me safe, and that is exactly what he did. After a while, we realized that we

love each other and we ended up sleeping in the same bed. Soon, I realized that I had missed my

period. I didn't know what I was going to do, but I felt like my parents would kill me if they found

out. I did not want my little baby to be hurt by my parents, but I also felt that it would be wrong

of me to get an abortion, and I just couldn't give up my baby for adoption. My parents were so

drugged all the time that they didn't even notice that I was pregnant. It wasn't until three

months after the babies were born that my parents even noticed that they existed. I had been

putting drugs in their water just to guarantee that they would stay under the influence of drugs.

Anyway, three months after the babies were born my parents were clean one day for some

reason, so I told them. My mom decided that she wanted nothing to do with me, so she left town

and didn't tell me where she was going. My dad got so mad when I told him that Peter was the

dad that told Peter to leave and never come back. Peter was on a bike, and when he was a little

way down the road my dad drove after him and ran him over with his car. The bike tangled

around the car's wheel and my dad lost control. He ran straight into a tree and died on impact.

And, that's when I moved in with you." Laura told me. "Wow Laura, you are so brave for going

through that and being able to keep going and be a great mom to you little ones."
