~Aurora's Pov~

We had a rough night but we made it to Alexandria safely.. We picked up Aaron's partner on the way here but we finally made it. We were at the gates right now, hesitant to go in.

There were so many houses lined up next to each other, it was clean, the walls were enormously high. I felt anxious going into this place.. I remember Carl telling me about what happened in Terminus, how they all thought it was safe because it looked safe. But in the end they almost died because of the people there. Although I was happy that we found what seems to be good people, we don't know what we could come across once we walk through these gates. It's beyond hard to trust people now.. People can be worse than walkers sometimes.

We heard movement close to us and we all quickly pulled out our weapons, pointing them at the noise to see a possum coming out of a trash can. I put my gun back in it's holster once Daryl shot an arrow through it. He walked over to it and picked it up by its tail. "We brought dinner." He said looking at the guy who opened the gate. He just started at the animal and at Daryl grossed out and in disbelief. "It's okay. Come on in guys." Aaron said looking at us. Everyone started moving, walking inside but I stayed where I was looking around feeling this pit in my stomach.

"Hey," I looked forward hearing Glenn's voice. He held his arm out toward me, "Cmon kiddo." He said softly. I walked towards him and he put his hand on my back walking inside with me. His hand slid up to my shoulder and he squeezed it slightly then let go walking over to Maggie. I stood next to Carl and he looked slightly up at me. "What?" He asked. I looked over to him and shook my head. "I don't know," I said. He kept looking at me. "It's okay, I'm nervous too." He said softly. I nodded slightly feeling slightly better that I wasn't the only one feeling like this right now. He returned the nod, "Before we take this any further, I need you all to turn over your weapons." The man said. I shook my head, "No." I spoke out, Everyone looked back at me and I looked at them too.

"What?" I asked.

I knew they didn't want to hand over theirs either. "You stay, you hand them over." The man said looking at us, regaining everyone's attention. "We don't know if we want to stay." My dad said looking at the man. "It's fine, Nicholas." Aaron said looking at him, "If we were gonna use them, we would have already started." My dad informed, "Let them talk to Deanna first." Aaron said. "Who's Deanna?" Abraham asked. "She knows everything you'd want to know about this place." Aaron explained looking at us all then at my dad directly. "Rick, why don't you start?" He asked.

My dad looked back at Carl and I, then behind us. I looked back too noticing a walker making its way over towards the gate. "Sasha." He said, She turned around and shot the walker down. They closed the second gate, which was like a screen so no one was able to look inside. "It's a good thing we're here." My dad said and continued to walk further into the camp. We started following him and I jogged up to him, putting a hand on his arm. He looked over to me. "We all have to talk to her? Alone?" I asked softly. He handed me Judith and I took her. "I don't know.." He said. "Yes, but don't worry. She's a nice person. You can go in with Carl if you want, I'm sure she won't mind." Aaron said looking at me. I looked over to him, "Can I go with my dad?" I asked. "Rick is the leader of your group. It'd be best if Deanna spoke to him alone." He explained, still looking at me.

"I'll be alright. Don't worry about me. You know who you should be lookin' after while I'm gone." Dad said putting a hand on the back of my head.

~After all the interviews~

Oliver and I just came back to the house after having a look around. It felt wrong calling it a Camp considering how big this place was. It was a gated community, that's what I'll be calling it. We all cleaned up too, It felt good to finally take a shower and brush my teeth again.

I looked at Daryl grossed out as he gutted the possum he killed earlier. "Seriously?" I asked grossed out, He looked over to me squinting. "What?" He asked. "On the porch?" I asked. He shook his head, "What? You want me to do it in the kitchen." He said in a tone. I shook my head and smiled. "Shut up.." I said. He smirked and looked back down at his possum. "Where'd you guys go?" Dad asked. "We just looked- " I cut myself off looking at my dad. "Whoa-" I covered my mouth and laughed shocked. He had a fresh haircut and he had no beard. Carl laughed too at my reaction. "See? I had a valid reaction dad she's laughing too." Carl said, defending himself. Dad looked at Carl then back at me.

"Stop laughing." Dad said with a smile on his face. "Okay-" I laughed and uncovered my mouth. "Okay- Okay I'm done.." I said holding my laugh. "No you're not.." He said and walked back inside. "No!- No daddy I am! Daddy I'm just kidding!" I laughed as he continued to walk inside. I laughed more looking at Carl. "Rory I think you embarrassed him." He said holding in a laugh too. "He looks good- okay? He looks good, it's just weird to see him without a beard." I said. "You just killed your old man." Daryl said as I walked up the steps. "No I didn't." I said, Oliver followed me laughing a little. "Can you come check out the next-door house Rory?" Carl asked with a smile. "Yeah one sec." I said and headed inside looking for my dad.

I giggled. "Daddy," I said. "What." He said turning around. Maggie was now holding Judith. I held my arms out towards him and continued to giggle, He sighed and smiled a bit. "You look good. You just caught me off guard." I said. He chuckled slightly, holding me back. He swayed me side to side the slightest and kissed my head. "I'm gonna go check out the house next door with Carl okay?" I asked, He kept holding me. "Alright," He said pulled me away. He looked down at me slightly and put his hands on my cheeks. "What?" I asked. He shook his head. "I missed your laugh, and Carl's.." He said softly and put his hands on my shoulders. I smiled softly at him, "Seeing you without a beard, it can happen." I said nodding, He scoffed and let me go. "Get outta here." He said.

"Love you." I kissed his cheek and walked back out of the house, meeting up with Oliver, Kaleb and Carl. "Cmon." I said heading back down the stairs with them.
