~Aurora's Pov~

"Late start huh?" Dad asked as I walked up to him. I nodded a bit. "I couldn't sleep last night." I said as I reached him. He handed me Judith and I held her. "How come?" he asked. I shrugged, "What's botherin' you?" he asked. I looked at him and shook my head. "Nothing, Why?" I asked. "The only reason you can't sleep at night is because you have something on your mind." He said. "That's not true." I said. "No? I vaguely Mrs. Kelly's physics exams. What was it? 4th period? You went to school half asleep." He asked. I clicked my tongue. "Okay- to be fair her tests were near impossible.. I had a reason to stress out. And half of the time I was studying." I said with a smile. He smiled too, "Until you took my book away.." I laughed a bit. "Yeah because it was 2am and you were still up." He said with a slight chuckle.

"I was scared I was gonna fail okay?" I said smiling at him. He nodded, "I know.. So what's got you stressed now?" He asked. I shook my head slightly, "Nothing. I just- I had a headache.." I said. He nodded, narrowing his eyes at me slightly. "Right.." He said as Carl stepped out of his cell. I looked over to him. "Hi.." he said. "Hey." I said. "I'll meet you outside." Dad said to Carl. "Mhm." Carl responded lazily. Dad put a hand on the side of my head, kissed it and walked out of the cell block.

"Seriously?" Carl asked.

I looked over to him, adjusting my grip on Judith. "What?" I was confused. "I couldn't see your face and I still knew you were lying by your tone." He said looking at me. " 'bout what?" I asked. "I had a headache daddy." He mocked me, making a face. "Shut up and go outside." I said, annoyed and walked away from him. "And I don't sound like that." I said not looking back at him. "Yeah you do." He said and put on his flannel, Walking outside. I shook my head and looked at Judith. "I don't sound like that." I said as she played with some strands of my hair.

"Rory? Are you in here?" I hear Carl's voice echo through the cell block. I walked out of my cell. "Yeah?" I called out heading downstairs. He walked up to me too, drinking some water. "Water break?" I asked. He nodded as we reached each other. "Yeah. Has dad given you your gun back?" He asked, I shook my head. "No." I responded. Dad took away our guns and locked them away, including his own. I'm allowed to have my machete and knife but that's it, no gun. I miss it, I'm not gonna lie, I miss having it on me. "Why? Has he given yours back?" I asked. He shook his head. "No.. Can you talk to him?" He asked. "You talk to him. You're gonna be with him right now." I said. He sighed. "Please talk to him." He said. "You do it. It's the same thing." I said. "No it's not, and you know it's not." He said looking at me.

I shook my head confused. "What're you talking about." I said. "He listens to you more. Just talk to him." He pleaded. "Dude it's literally the same thing." I said. "No it's not." He repeated. "How's it not. Tell me." I said annoyed. "You're the oldest and you're a daddy's girl. So talk to him." He said. I scoffed confused. "No I'm not.." I said. He scoffed too, "You're funny." He said sarcastically and turned around. He started walking towards the gate. "Just talk to him first. See what happens and if he says no I'll talk to him." I said. "Fine." He said and left the building.

"The man's right." I looked up to see Daryl finishing up buttoning his shirt. "You are a daddy's girl." He said making his way down. "No I'm- Daryl shut up." I said as he stood by me. "No use denying it now woman, we all know." he said fixing his grip on his bow, looking at me. "If you wake up with your crossbow strings cut. Or your arrows missing. Don't be surprised." I said, He looked at me. "You touch my bow, I'll kill you." He said with a serious face. "Bring it on Uncle Daryl. We can play if you want." I said with a smile. "My bow's off limits." He said, I shrugged. "Don't make me mad, I won't touch it. I promise." I said looking at his bow in his hands. He scoffed looking at me. I giggled, "Is the offer still up on teaching me how to use it? I have nothing to do except take care of Judith. I wanna learn something new." I said. He nodded a bit, "Yeah. Whenever." He said. I nodded a bit.

"Since when am I your damn Uncle?" He asked. "Since now. You're my Uncle Daryl and my Best friend." I said with an innocent smile. He scoffed shaking his head, looking away from me. I laughed a bit at his response.

A sudden boom interrupted our moment, it echoed through the walls. I furrowed my eyebrows hearing another one go off. "Are those gunshots?!" Sasha called out making her way downstairs. "Sounds like it." Daryl said as She, Tyreese, Oliver, Beth and I made our way to the exit of the cell block. Hershel locked the gate to the Tombs. More gunshots started going off. "Let's go." Daryl said loading his crossbow. Beth, Hershel and I stayed back. "Wait- Do I help-" "No. Stay here." Daryl said cutting me off. "But Carl's out-" "Stay!" He yelled and ran out of the cell block, closing the doors behind him and catching up with the rest.

We heard Judith's cries echo as more gunshots went off and screams started to echo too. "I got her.." Beth said and went over quickly, grabbing Judith. "Don't even think about it." Hershel said, I looked away from the door and looked at him. "Carl's out there." I said. "He's not alone. He'll be alright." He said.

A/N: For those of you who have read my book Unexpected (Daryl x OC).. You guys know that I had a game going on between Carl and My OC Katherine. While i was writing this scene between Daryl and Rory, I had an idea. What if they had their own little game? They can have their own thing.
