Entering the train leading to an astounding destination, the two best friends cradled the brunswick green seats as if holding on to their dear life. The anticipation was leisurely killing them, the thought of transferring to a new school was timorous but nevertheless sensational.

It was like willingly entering a lion's den, knowing the venture that rolls along within but still having the enliven tendency pushing you to do it. You want to see the lion, you want to see the beauty and the resplendent power it carries. The king of the jungle attracts interest within itself, alluring you to go near. Hogwarts is like the lion, the famous School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The greatest wizards are known to have gone to Hogwarts, some even there at the present. It holds great power and legendary, captivating, and compelling you to explore. Natheless, it is formidable entering a foreign school with foreign students.

The feeling of expectancy was screeching upon themselves, the tense anticipation hours filled the mellow compartment. They sat in dreadful silence, a screaming silence that could be heard from mere miles away.

As if trying to configure the daunting feel into a comfortable state, Elise spoke out to avoid the harsh anxious feelings that kept knocking at her skin. "So, what house do you think we will get sorted into?"

"Well, I definitely will not be in Hufflepuff that's for sure, I am way too mean, however, you on the other hand might be either a Hufflepuff or Gryffindor" Sophie giggled

"No no I'm not nice either, I presume you will be placed in Slytherin while I will be Ravenclaw"

"You in Ravenclaw? Oh please" Sophie quite literally laughed out loud

"Wha-" Elise was interrupted by a knock on their lonesome compartment door by an endearing woman in a red sweater offering candy from a trolly.

"Oh yes please, can I have some pumpkin pastries," Sophie asked while Elise added, "and some chocolate frogs"

After ingurgitating the scrumptious sweets while conjecturing and gossiping about what Hogwarts will be like, the train came to a halt. Angst was soon again knocking on their skins, trying everything it can to bring trepidation and dread inside their blood.

They soon got off the train and headed towards the carriages waiting to be transported to Hogwarts. It looked magical, everything was glistering and gleaming, inviting them to the beauteous castle. Enthralling emotions filled the night sky, amazed and astonished at how the lights and stars twinkled at them. They were soon met by a tall woman with a black velvet hat with a singular feather. She briefly went over the ceremony as the first years gleamed with inquisitive looks.

Walking into the Great Hall was much more enticing than anticipated, it was grand and magical. There were four seating benches deciphered by the different houses. Elise and Sophie squealed at each other as they walked through the hall and waited for the ceremony. They watched with scrutiny and interest as the houses for the first years were being chosen.

Eventually, Sophie's name was called out and Elise gave her a bright smile and pushed her to it. After 10 seconds of judging and reading Sophie, the brown sorting hat came to a conclusion and shouted.

"RAVENCLAW"

Elise was left flabbergasted and lips parted, she would never expect her best friend to be in Ravenclaw, she assumed she would be in Slytherin. Sophie walked to the Ravenclaw and winked at her best friend whilst flashing a proud simile.

At last, Elise's name was called, now all she could do was pray to be sorted in Ravenclaw just like how she wanted at first. She would be okay with Hufflepuff or Gryffindor as well, but just not Slytherin. Yes, she was a pureblood but that did not make her cruel and cold just like how she heard Slytherins were. Just the thought of being sorted in Slytherin made her blood run cold.

She went and sat at the chair and noticed a particular blond hair flaring at her. Her jaw dropped, could it be? Is that actually the familiar stranger she shared a secret full night with? His cold icy eyes bore into her brown ones, she was getting Déjà vu from the night, they were again sharing the same intense look except for one new emotion. Both were startled and shocked. She even noticed Malfoy's lips were also parted, but they soon turned into a cruel smirk, a smirk that was filled with bitter amusement. A smirk that promised hell. He then raised his eyebrows as a challenge. Elise was stunned, she could not even hear what the sorting hat was murmuring about, she was only focused on the dangerously beautiful blond. She then noticed him sitting at the Slytherin table, of course. The more reason for her not to be sorted into it. Daunting thoughts flooded her until she was snapped out by the Hat shouting out her house.

"SLYTHERIN"
