Sunday approached earlier than perceived.

Elise had plans with the girls to go shopping at Diagon Alley. The masquerade ball was on October 15, a day away, and they were in desperate need of gowns.

She looked out of the window that depicted fog, it reciprocated her mind. As she suspired, she reminisced her befogged relationship with the one who she shouldn't dare fall in love with.

She shook off the ghastly thoughts that pivoted her off the edge. The thoughts that grew horns on the angel she admired. Thoughts that ignited the halo she swore she once saw.

-

"Elise, tell us, who shall be your escort in the ball that is to come?" Pansy said as she mimicked a 15th century saying with courtesy.

The gregarious girls giggled as they strolled through Diagon Alley. Though the street was congested with many people, it carried a sense of elation.

"I not know yet, though when a mighty Monsieur asks for my hand, I shall let you know" Elise continued as laughter escaped her lips.

Daphne stopped them at a store that showcased many gowns. Elise hadn't decided what type or color of a dress she was looking for in particular, it was often hard to find one that fit her like a glove.

They opened the door of the store and the fabric smell gusted through their senses. "Wow" Millicent uttered and they looked around the divine gowns that were suited on the mannequins. The girls immediately spread out and went for the ones that caught their eyes. Pansy was looking at a grey sheath gown dress whilst Daphne had her eyes on a trumpet styled one.

Elise approached a red one which looked quite ravishing, it was a princess style dress though she wasn't fond of the excess fabric on the sides. She then looked at a dark green one, the color was perplexing yet the cuts were a bit vulgar.

Something told her she wasn't going to find a dress for her liking today. She looked at a couple of other gowns yet none complimented her the way she desired.

Needless to say, Pansy, Daphne, and Millicent bought the dresses that caught their eyes first. "You didn't find anything?" Millicent asked when she noticed Elise's empty hands.

"Not really, I'll probably go to a different store in Hogsmeade tomorrow" She answered. "There aren't any other stores in Diagon Alley?" Pansy asked. "No, this was the only one" Daphne replied.

"Don't worry guys, I'll find something" Elise assured as she remembered a specific store she used to go to near Hogsmeade.

-

They headed back to the castle and straight to Pansy's room to once more try one the dresses and decide which hairstyles they would do.

Elise headed to her dormitory first to change into something comfortable, and then join them. She was about to change when she heard a knock on the left window. She turned and noticed a grey Eurasian eagle owl tapping on the window with a big black package in its beak. She welcomed the owl and treated him some sweets as she reached for the package.

It was a vantablack box with a matching silk bow on top. She untied the bow and opened it with wonder. At first glance it was pitch black, but then she noticed fabric. She took the fabric out of the box and her mouth parted in awe.

It was a gown.

A gorgeous gown.

As she inquired it, she noticed a black card with her name written on it in white. She turned the card over and read the writing.

"Be ready by eight" Was all that it said.

Signed by Draco Malfoy.

She contemplated, but regardless held up the dress and admired it on herself in the mirror.

She threw it back on the bed. Deciding not to give in.

No, no, but it was stunning. She looked back at the dress that flirted with her taste. She sighed and tried it on.

It fit her like a glove.

The sheer fabric applauded her shoulders, the gloves that came with adulated her fingers, and the outline hugged her waist.

It was irresistible.
