oikawa x reader

"yui! slow down, you're going to fall!" you yelled running after your little sister.

"hurry we are going to be late!" she said, ignoring your words.

you were supposed to take your little sister to her volleyball practice after your job, but since you got a late start to school, your teacher asked you to stay behind. she had to talk to you about your attendance and how you needed to show up on time or else you couldn't play your own volleyball games. you didn't want to explain to her that you were late every day since you had to take care of your little sister and take her to school. you promised your teacher you would make it on time from now on.

it wasn't easy balancing taking care of a 6-year-old along with being a teenager. your parents were not around so it just left you and your sister by yourselves. it didn't help that you were on your school's girls volleyball team, which so happened to be karasuno. you wanted to work harder in volleyball seeing that the boy's team got so much attention recently, wishing someone other than your coach would come and watch your games.

you reached the gym where your sister was supposed to practice. you panted at the door entrance, holding the door frame. 

"y/n! i forgot my water bottle!" yui said, tears in her eyes.

you panicked a bit, not wanting her to faint of dehydration. you looked through your stuff and let her have your own water bottle. it was a big sacrifice, because you also had to run back to your school for your own practice. 

"yui, take mine. i will be here right when you end, okay? don't talk to anyone you don't know." you said, caressing her circle squishy face.

"practice hard okay? i love you!" you yelled at her.

yui waved back, watching you run off. she beamed from ear to ear.

as you ran off, you bumped into what seems like an iron wall. you gasped, not from the impact, but because you ran into someone.

"I am so sorry! I-I wasn't looking!" you said, shutting your eyes and bowing.

"it's o-okay! i wasn't either." a soft voice said, making you look up.

there you saw a chocolate-haired boy, with the same chocolate eyes. he was beautiful. next to him, a short boy, maybe 5 or 6, with a black shaved head. a child (*gasps* a CHILD)

"I am so sorry!" you ran off, probably thinking you were late for practice.

"damn, I wish I got her name." oikawa cursed under his breath, watching you disappear of into the distance.

"y/n focus! your spikes are sloppy!" your coach yelled. you just hit the ball out of bounds from your spike.

it was a scrimage between the karasuno girl and boys volleyball team. being the ace middle block and a spiker, all attention was on you.

you huffed as you nodded to your coach. it was the boy's team turn to serve. you stared back at the game, ready to redeem yourself.

the ball came over and received by one of your teammates who passed it to your setter. 

"y/n!" they said, giving you the perfect set for a spike.

you jumped up, arm getting momentum for it. you saw the faces of the middle blockers, tsukishima, kageyama, and asahi, waiting for your impact.

giving everything you got, you pounded the ball. you shot back asahi and kageyama's arm, breaking through their wall. the ball bounced off the other side's floor, silence being heard after.
