After the events that had happened during school yesterday, George had a harder time waking up on Tuesday morning. He turned over in his bed and he planted his face into his soft pillow and groaned against it, refusing to get up. He was just going to lie in his bed until he grabbed his phone and looked through his notifications, which helped him wake up in the morning.
"George!" His mom called through his door.
"I'm up." George replied, throwing the covers off of his limp body.
He heard his mom's heavy footsteps against the floor as she walked towards the living room. His mom was a bigger woman. She always was overweight. Struggled with her weight for a while until she just gave up and slowly let the food take over her life. She always was mad at George because of how skinny and 'perfect' he was. She wasn't the best mom but she told herself that she was the best mom ever.
George never wanted to be considered perfect. His life was far from being perfect. He didn't even have a father in his life, all he had was his overweight mom and his best and only friend, Tommy.
George walked over to his mirror and admired his outfit he had just put on. It was a blue crew neck and he was wearing some light blue jeans to match the outfit. He had considered changing the jeans to a darker pair but then he just gave up and slipped on his checkered vans and walked out of his room, making sure to grab all of the things he needed for school like his book bag, MacBook, and his phone.
He grabbed a banana from the kitchen and then slipped out of the house, making sure to make no noise whatsoever. His mom also hated noise, loud noise was something that she hated. George opened the banana and ate it rather quickly, he was still hungry but he ignored it since he had no other food with him. He had finally made it to school because he always walked to school because his house was really close to the school, he also got in his daily exercise so that was a plus.
"George!" Tommy yelled across the parking lot.
George looked to Tommy who was standing next to his bike. Tommy always biked to school. He had this red bike and he always managed to get a new scratch on the bike every time George saw the bike. George then made his way over to Tommy. George passed past Clay and he could practically feel Clay's stares as he walked over to Tommy.
"I don't know why Clay keeps staring at you." Tommy said, cocking his head to the side.
"Me etheir." George said, lugging his book bag up more on his shoulder.
"How was your morning?" Tommy asked as they walked into school.
"It was the same, my mom is more grouchy." George said, chucking at the last words.
"She always is!" Tommy said, clutching his stomach because he was laughing along with George.
"Remember that one time you slept over and you-" George said.
"-Fucked up her bedroom because she had yelled at you!" Tommy finished, interrupting George.
The boys continued their conversation through the halls, laughing at old memories and stupid stuff they had said. They said their goodbyes and parted ways. George made his way over to his English class. He hoped that English would distract him from the pretty boy with the blonde hair.
After George's class concluded, he sighed and made his way over to the cafeteria. He had sat with Tommy again but as soon as he was about to rant about his English class, Tommy spoke up.
"Did you know there's a party on Friday?" Tommy asked.
"No I didn't, who's all going to be there?" George asked, sketching something in his journal.
"The football team, the cheerleaders, the whole school basically." Tommy exclaimed.
"And why do I have to know this?" George asked Tommy.
"We have to go!" Tommy said, now draping his hand on top of George's hand.
"Why do we have to?" George asked, groaning playfully.
"It's going to be a really big party, George!" Tommy said.
George contemplated it for a moment and then came to a decision.
"Fine, I'll go." George said, trying to hide his smile but then failing.
