ATTENTION:
There wasn't actually a name change.
The "name change" was only a change with the name tag to help avoid confusion since District of Columbia has been appearing more, DC is still DC, the other characters still call him DC (for now at least) and no one has to worry about switching the names in their stuff.
We're all fine, calm down, we can still call him DC.
