Once we get back home, my phone buzzes. I pull it out of my pocket, and there's a bunch of texts waiting for me, all from Albert.

To: the unholy trinity

Albert: hey so

Albert: there's a fair coming to town this weekend

Albert: we're going

"i've never been to a fair before"

Albert: it's gonna be so much fucking fun

"ok :)"

What even happens at a fair? All I know is that there's rides, rigged games, and food that'll cause you to have a heart attack. What do you wear to a fair? I have no clue what to expect, but I take another look at the chat as messages
come flooding in. Albert and Spot both seem pretty excited. I can do this for them.

The idea of roller coasters and other rides always scared me. I know that i'm sixteen, and I shouldn't be scared of those things anymore, but i've never had the experience of going on a theme park ride. At least, not that I can remember.

I'm sure it won't be too bad, right? I pull up Youtube to look at different rides you'd expect to see at a fair. They don't look too bad. Almost all of the rides either go up really high or spin you around really fast. The ones that don't are made for little kids. Shit.

They won't force me to go on anything I don't want to, right?  They've never forced me into anything before, at least not yet. I bite my nail before going upstairs to work on homework. A decent distraction.
