Tied To You

Chapter 7

Luz Pov:

I woke up extra early today.

I couldn't sleep.

Why? I have absolutely no clue.

The whole night I had butterflies in my stomach. It felt weird, but also kinda nice.

The feeling made me happy.

It was bright outside now. Just barely, but still.

I got up out of bed.

I was wearing shorts and a baggy hoodie. The hoodie was just big enough to go down to my thighs.

It did make me look like I wasn't wearing pants, but it was comfortable.

I took a quick glance at myself in my wall mirror.

I had major bed head.

My hair was spiking in every direction and my hoodie was halfway slung off my right shoulder, exposing my bra strap.

I woke up like this every morning.

I smiled to myself a little before walking out my bedroom door.

I had a feeling today was going to be a great day!

I sprinted down the stairs and into the kitchen.

"Morning Eda!"

I stood beside the counter while Eda was cooking.

"Morning Kiddo!" Eda chuckled a little while she poured a liquid onto some veggies.

The vegetables grew small arms and legs and looked up at the one who created them.

"Ah, good! Now get in the pot." Eda's voice changed to pure seriousness as she squinted at the animated food.

They all let out a high pitched scream as they scattered in all directions.

Except for the onion... The onion jumped into the pot right away.

That onion has been through stuff.

I mean- I guess they do make you cry.

"Huh. Wonder why they always do that." Eda scratched her chin while she turned to me.

'That is some weird food.'

It was quite sunny today. And it was really warm. I loved this kind of weather. It was calming.

"Well kid, you should go get ready. Planty and Illusions are coming to walk you to school." She said while she went back to reviewing the recipe book.

I took a few steps towards the door, talking just before I left.

"You got it owl mamà!"

Wait.

I didn't mean to. It kinda just slipped out.

I stopped in my tracks and slowly turned to Eda.

Did I just?

Nawwhhhhh.

I couldn't have. Right?

I know I'm close to Eda but I never thought I would say that! Or at least, not this soon.

"Did you just-"

"No, no. I don't think I did."

"Are you sure? Because I thought I heard you sa-"

"YEP! 100% sure!"

I shot Eda finger guns while I quickly turned and sprinted upstairs.

My god I'm and idiot!
