Chapter 16: Battle Elenna

Miyo's POV

"I AM ELENNA" Metronome said using the hover pad. "But you sounded like a male!" I said. Elenna then showed some sort of mic "The voice changing mic from the bug tribe. Very dependable" Elenna said. "Like the one I used for my Kei helmet... Nice" Gai said and Elenna sighed "Who brought a Mong here?" She asked. "My name's Gai" Gai said "Ah yes the Mong who's in love with Miyoshi" Elenna said and me and Gai blushed. Elenna then jumped over me and whispered "So do you like him back?" and jumped back. I froze for a moment there. "Yes... I mean No... I mean maybe?" I said without control "Hahaha looks like the cold heart just melted" Elenna laughed.

"Whatever just give us the map already" I said "No can't do." Elenna said "Let me guess, we need to battle you first?" I asked "Bingo!" Elenna said. "Let's just get this over with" I said. Gai started teleporting and showed up behind her and prepared to kick her but Elenna swiftly dodged it and grabbed Gai's foot and throw him aside "Oh no. This is a Nyanya fight. no Mongs allowed" Elenna said "Come on man!" Gai said "WOMAN! I'M WOMAN YOU MONG-STER! (A/N Pfftttt. I really need to start using that word more)" Elenna said "Where is the calm Metronome I used to know?" I sighed "You do know that I need to change my personality to become someone else right?" Elenna said

"Ok let's just start the fight" I said. Me and Elenna then stand in our fighting stance. I pulled out my claws and started running to her. And again, she dodged. Dang she's good. I jumped back to my position "Is that all you got?" Elenna asked.

Gai's POV

I am watching those two Nyanyas fight. And what am I doing? Sitting in the corner like a kid having a time out. They were having scratch fights. Until Miyo is exhausted and Elenna is starting to kick her. Yep that's it I'm done watching. I then teleported out of the corner to Miyo's front. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" Miyo asked "Saving you. Isn't that obvious?" I said "Aww Monkey boy is here to save his girlfriend" Elenna teased "Please stop" Miyo said "Aw but it's nice" I said and what did I get? You guessed it!

Miyo's POV

"Ugh Mongs. Why are they so annoying" Elenna said "FINALLY! Someone who understands me!" I said "Shall we continue?" Elenna asked "Yes" I replied

Miyo's POV

After I beat Elenna, she is just... sitting there. "Congratulations Miyoshi. You've proven you are worthy of they spy scroll" Elenna said. She then gave me the scroll. "Thank you" I said. Me and Gai then walked to the exit. I then stopped for a moment to asked one last question "Hey Elenna? Can I ask you one last question?" I asked "Go ahead" Elenna replied "Why do you become Metronome?" I asked "Oh that's... a secret between me and Mong" Elenna said "Wait Master knows about it too?" Gai asked "Kinda" Elenna said "Understandable. See you later" I said

Elenna's POV

When those two are out from the room, I started walking back to my office. Then a sudden flashback came into my mind.

Two sacred items from both the Mong and Nyanya museum is stolen. We then blame eachother well... Me and Mong to be specific. 

<Flashback>

"What did you do Mong?" I asked "Me? What did YOU do?" Mong asked.

<Flashback over>

After that conversation, it began... the eternal rivalry of the Mongs and Nyanyas.

<Flashback>

"We will never speak of this again. And if someone is asking what tribe I'm from, tell them from an unknown tribe" I said "Fine by me" Mong said. I then went to the bug tribe, disguised "You got what I wanted?" I asked "The voice changing mic? Sure do!" I bug tribe said. I then grabbed the mic and walked away. 

<Flashback over>

That is how and why I became Metronome. I need to stop this rivalry once and for all...
