"What?! Why would you do that?!" Aang yelled. Katara scoffed. "You wouldn't understand. Me and Jet are leaving now." Katara grabbed a bag and started throwing food into it. "How are you even going to get there?!" Aang asked. "I'm a water bender, there is water everywhere, I will think of something." Katara said throwing the bag over her shoulder. She walked passed Aang and grabbed jets wrist. "Come on it's time to go." Jet followed Katara out. "KATARA ARE YOU LISTENING TO A WORD IM SAYING?!" Aang yelled. Katara didn't respond she just continued walking.

As Katara and Jet walked Aang just followed wondering how on earth he was going to bring her back. She has already killed someone but it didn't seem like she was proud of herself, but at the same time she didn't really care nor did it affect her in any way. It was going to be close to impossible to bring Katara back, but Aang also acknowledged that he couldn't stay forever trying to get Katara back, there was another world he had to save besides his. Aang snapped out of his thoughts by a woman yelling at him. "Hey move out the way!" Aang flinched and saw a woman pushing a small cart. He looked around and noticed that Jet and Katara were far away. He ran to them using us air bending to speed up to them. They reached the beach were they could see nothing but the ocean. Katara turned to Aang. "Hope you had a nice walk time to go now." Katara said coldly as she turned back around and began bending the water. Aang and Jet watched as Katara made a small boat made of ice. "C'mon Jet." Jet smirked at Aang before jumping into the small boat. "Katara..." Katara turned and looked at Aang. Their eyes locked and she relaxed a bit. "Killing this man will not do you any good. Ask yourself what will this do? Killing him can't bring your mother back, and I know that sounds messed up of me to say but it's true. I'm not going to try to stop you... but when the time comes choose forgiveness. Let your anger out, then let it go." Katara stared into his eyes for a good 30 seconds before turning around and water bending her ship away. Aang stood there with a small smile on his face. He knew she wasn't going to kill the man.

"We need to find the Fire navy communication tower. All the navy's movements are coordinated by messenger hawk, and every tower has to be up to date on where everyone is deployed." Jet explained. Katara was on the side of their small boat bending them out into the sea fast. "Why don't you take a break, come chill with me." Jet put his arm around her waist only for her to punch him making him groan. "So once we find the communication tower we sneak in and take the information we need." "Why don't we just bust in? It's easier and way faster." Jet said still rubbing his arm to ease the pain. Katara looked at Jet and let a small smile tug at her lips. Jet noticed and smiled back. "We need to be stealthy and make sure no ones sees us. If they do they will warn the southern raiders." Katara glanced at Jet and saw him smiling. She lightly laughed. "For the record I'm happy you didn't die." Jet was about to respond when Katara cut him off. "But that doesn't mean I like you. Not even in a friend type of way. I'm just happy your not dead." Katara then turned her focus to her water bending. Jet sat down on the floor next to her, he tilted his head up to look at the night sky along with the stars that shinned brightly. "Can I say something?" Jet asked, In normal tone, that kind of surprised Katara. Although She didn't show it of course. "What's up?" She asked taking glances at him every now and then. "I'm sorry." Katara stopped water bending. "For trying to kill all those innocent people?" Katara put her hands on her hips. "Well I wasn't referring to that but yeah that too I guess." Katara sat down with him. "What were you referring too?" She asked in a calm sleepy voice. "I played you, and I'm sorry. I took advantage of the fact that you had a crush on me when we first met. And I really wish that I could take that back. I'm not saying this to make you feel bad but because I want you to know the truth so here it goes..." Jet took a deep breath. "I never had feelings for you when we first met. I didn't really even see you as a friend. More as an extra in my plan. And that is super rude and disrespectful I know, I only started catching feeling for you when I saw you again in the earth kingdom where I 'died'. I saw you in a different light, but by that time you wanted nothing to do with me. I never would have imagined you'd end up dating baldy though." Katara glared at Jet. "Right sorry can't say stuff like that. But yeah that's what I wanted to tell you." Katara sighed. "Thanks for telling me that. But I have a question for you." Jet looked at her. "What is it?" He asked. "Do you still have feelings for me? Or is this just your cocky flirty personality?" Katara asked smirking a bit. Jet laughed. "To be completely honest with you... yeah. I like you now more than I ever have actually. I love the new you, strong, independent, and confident. That thing I forget what it's called-" "blood bending." "Blood bending. It actually makes you look 10
Times more hot when your blood bending then when you are water bending. And you already look hot like that. Heck you look hot just sitting where you are right now." Katara laughed. "So the answer to you question... yea. And definitely now." Katara thought for a moment. "You know, that's really nice to hear from someone. I've never herd anyone who I have liked say they like the new me. I'm pretty sure Aang didn't like it. And I have a feeling there are certain things about me that he doesn't like. It's nice to hear you say that. But we still can't be together." Jet turned so he was fully facing Katara. "But why? You know that I support the new you 100% and baldy doesn't. So why?" Jet asked. "Because there is a huge difference between you and him." Katara said standing up. "And what's that?" Jet asked standing up with her.

"The difference between the two of you is that I love Aang, and I don't love you."

Jet dropped his head down. Katara wanted to apologize but decided not too. "I can't apologize for that. This is something he needs to know and understand. Sometimes we like people and they don't like us back. It hurts but it's better to know the truth." Katara thought to herself. Jet walked to the other side of the boat and just laid on the ground gazing at the stars. "Damn." Katara looked at Jet. "What?" She asked. Jet sat up and smirked at her with watery eyes. "Even when your rejecting me, your still beautiful." Jet said his voice cracking. "Stop it." Jet sat up confused. "Stop what?" He asked. "Stop trying to make me feel bad. It won't work. No matter what you say or what you do for me, I'm always going to love Aang. And I'm not going to love you." Jet sighed. "I know bu-" Jet was cut off by the boat lightly bumping something. Katara whipped her head and saw a tall building. "So I'm guessing this is the Fire navy communication tower?" She asked hooping off the boat. Jet hopped off as Katara melted it. "Yup."
