Chapter 13

I can't stand it anymore, the two of them have been fighting for like four minutes now, not that I am sure of because all of our phones and watches still are frozen in time with 1: 46 PM on it.

I can feel the other evils closing in on the school, rapidly pushing mile after mile out of the way in a matter of seconds. We won't be able to last a max of five minutes more before they are here. If they get here and we are still here, there is definitely no chance for us then. It would be game over, like with no extra lives on hand.

I sigh, this fight is going to have to hurry up.

I start shuffling closer to the huddled group. I step on one of my shoelaces that must have loosened up from all the action and untied itself. my foot gets tangled with the other, I try pulling it away but it just tightens the knots. Unable to keep my balance any longer I start leaning backward. Flailing my arms I try regaining my balance. Instead, I seem to lean back even further, then, oof! I'm on the ground. Slowly I roll onto my back, groaning. That's when I notice it's silent, shifting my gaze to the right, Elexsiah and Ellen stand there staring at me.

Shoot! I must have fallen out of my hiding place. Great... Just great.

Ellen takes advantage of the Elexsiahs distraction and raises her hands into the air, the wind seems to sprout from her fingertips, and that's when I sense something. It was like a sixth sense was turned on inside of me like the flip of a switch. I sniffed the air, it smelled like, please don't make fun of me when I say it but it smelled like the air, but not like the normal air. It had a whiff of something else in it. It smelled like energy and a hint of Ellen. A little pulse of this came from in front of me, I could feel that it was there but it was invisible, was kinda like a tracker. Now I know what Ellen means when she said that others would be able to sense her. It makes so much sense now.

I was not the only one to have noticed the sudden change, the Elexsiah looks up from her staring at me, into the eyes of Ellens, surprised. But she doesn't have time to prepare for Ellen's attack. Ellen's hands, which are wide open with palms facing up suddenly snap closed into a tight fist, clenched so tight that her fingers turn a pale white. What was that for? What's supposed to- I'm cut off from my thoughts...

CRASH, BOOM, BANG, CRA-

One by one the large windows on the walls shatter. The closest one to me goes first, then the next one down the line, all the way to the other end of the hallway, like dominoes.

Then it quiets down, falling into silence once more. I open my eyes and gasp, the floor is covered in glass shards. I- and I am not joking about it, I could not see one inch of the floor without glass covering it. It looked like a carpet.

I snapped out of it and turn my gaze to Ellen. She is still in the same position. After a few seconds, her hands start to loosen so her palms are facing up again. As she does this every single glass piece on the ground lifts itself up into a vertical position.

I gasp, holy guacamole! This is crazy! Curious to see what would happen I nudge the nearest, big piece of glass with my foot. It tips sideways as the hoovering piece of glass is lightly pushed with my foot. But as soon as I take it away the glass slowly moves back to its original position. Wow! This is so neat! I'm about to do it again when they all start raising farther and farther away from the ground, at the same speed that the glass took to go to its normal position. Just as they reach about six feet off of the ground they come to a holt.

I turn to Ellen to see why they had stopped moving, her back is to me, she stands over a cowering Elexsiah. They mutter to one another in a language I don't understand. The Elexsiah spits something back at Ellen. Ellen sighs as if she was just told to do a horrible dare or something. Suddenly, somehow I know that whatever is about to happen, will not be fun to watch.

I'm about to close my eyes when the glass starts moving again, I can't help but watch. The glass shifts into position, all of their deadly sharp points turned in the direction of the Elexsiah. Now I know what's going to happen. Ellen gives another warning-ish tone while talking with the Elesxiah, still in the other language. She doesn't respond to Ellen, instead, she grins.

Ellen's figure stiffens, "Then you leave me no choice," she whispers, this time in English. Her hands make a snapping sound, getting the attention on the glass pieces. Then, she points a finger at the Elexsiah.
