Storms of Rage

i scream at the night sky
until my lungs yearn for air
until my throat grows numb
until my mind pounds against my skull.
i scream and i scream.
the sky cries on me
and sends its screams
in the form of thunder.
the beauty of the shining moon
hides behind the storming clouds.
behind every ugly mask
a beauty is revealed.
but this society only
seeks the surface.
this world isn't my home,
this world is a punishment.
nothing in here is worth
my attention.
nothing here is worth
a broken heart.
but it trapped me
and showed no pity or mercy.
a fire burns so bright
inside while my eyes
live in tears.
my shouts only travel
through thick darkness,
and the loud humming of rain
and roars of thunder
drown my rage.
the clouds cry beside me,
tired of looking down upon
the people we are today.
