become ever-so icy and cold?
i fear that your eyes would land on me at times. 
where did that heart-filled smile
of yours go?
is it hidden behind all that
make-up and clothes?
when did you start crawling 
behind the crowd instead of
marching in front of it?
what happened to your motto,
'never settle for just the tail'?
when did you start screaming 
at the moon instead of kissing it?
what made you so hollow?
was it my absence?
because i came back just for you, darling.
i came back to see your smile again.
but for some reason it remains 
behind those cherry red lips of yours.
