One thought
Just one thought of your charming smile
And the pain in my chest
Will repeat
Until I cry myself to sleep.
With the sheets pressed against my body
And warm air from the window
Find its way in between .
And a teddy bear squeezed between my arms
It has a name but it hurts to say
Because we named him together
So it will remain anonymous.
Nights without you are like a midnight
Sky without a glimmering moon
Or a sunset without its colors.
But a memory was all I had left of you,
A memory I never wanted to fade;
When you leaned down
And kissed my lips
With a triumphant smile
Long ago when you were here
With me.
