Y/n POV:

"What the hell is that supposed to mean, damn it?!" Uenoyama shouts as he bangs his head into the desk. He was supposed to move it so it wasn't in the way, but I guess he's taking his frustrations out on it.

"Damn, dude. What did that desk do to you?" I ask him as I am sweeping up the floor. Turns out it was my day to do classroom duties and I forgot, so I was trying to finish as fast as possible, but Uenoyama was making everything harder.

"You know what's wrong!" he vaguely says to me as he keeps his face planted on the desk.

'Of course, I know what you're talking about, but you bet I'm going to act dumb,' I think as I sweep around him.

"Did it sleep with your wife?! Damn! That's rough buddy, but I promise there is a light at the end of the tunnel," I fakely sympathize with him as I rub his shoulder, making him even angrier. He quickly looks up at me before yelling.

"I'm not talking about the table!" he shouts at me as I remove my hand from his shoulder and walk to put my broom away, all while laughing my ass off. I get a few glares, but I'm laughing way too hard to care He places his head back down on the table, making Orangey question what's wrong.

"What's up, Uenoyama? You've been really weird lately" he asks and the other kids resume doing their classroom duties and I listen in on the two's conversation.

"HE'S the damn weirdo here," Uenoyama answers, taking his face off the desk, but still leans over it. "You know Mafuyu Sato, right?" he questions Orangey as I prepare to leave earlier than the rest. I'm not saying I'm lazy, but I swept 25% of the room, which is the required amount. Even though I can get caught by the other students, I'm guessing only Uenoyama knows my name and only three people may care; Orangey, Uenoyama, and that girl who made me cry earlier since she keeps glaring at me like I murdered her entire clan.

'What's her problem?'

"Yeah, the guy from the class next door," Orangey recalls as I start to walk out the door.

"I invited him into our band," is the final thing I hear come from Uenoyama as I leave the classroom, heading home.

"And that ended amazingly," I laugh to myself as I recall what happened.

-Flashback (Y/n POV):-

"Do you want to join our band?" Uenoyama aggressively asks Mafuyu as I sit by and watch them.

'Why not me?!' I joke to myself as I wait for Mafuyu's answer. Mafuyu's eyes widen before he looks down, a small amount of sadness present in his eyes, as he hugs his guitar closer to him.

"I don't... think I should," Mafuyu responds, making me slightly surprised, but Uenoyama looks the most shocked, looking like he decided to re-evaluate his whole life. He was possibly yelling at Mafuyu, so I took this opportunity to get off the railing.

"Mafuyu...quickly put your guitar away," I ask him in a commanding voice. As he follows my instructions, I snap a quick picture of Uenoyama, reminding myself to savour it later. Once Mafuyu finishes packing up, I grab his hand and lead him down the stairs, leading him out of the gym.

"I'm curious as to why you're not gonna join the band, not gonna lie," I say while pulling him into an empty hallway after we leave the gym. As soon as we stop walking I look Mafuyu dead in the eyes, wondering if they would give me answers Mafuyu looks at me a bit concerned, but I begin speaking. "But, I know it's none of my business, so I'll drop it," I say with a smile and decreasing my glare, making Mafuyu breathe out a small breath of relief. "I hope you'll tell me eventually, but I won't force you to do anything," I continue, before remembering we haven't walked or taken the train home in a while. "Um...this is totally unrelated, but wanna walk home with me? I have classroom duties, but I can get out of those," I ask, hoping he wouldn't reject me like he just rejected Uenoyama.
