In the morning only Lyell and Xerxes had returned when I came out for breakfast. I found Xerxes in the chair and Lyell was asleep on the couch with a book on his chest.

"Is Court not back?" I asked Xerxes and he glanced up.

"He rode into town to check on the king and queen as well as purchase a few things. He said he should be back around noon when Lycidas comes over." Xerxes told me and I nodded before turning back around.

I decided to make myself some pancakes. One of the flours Court had purchased was almond flour. He had the wooden box labeled with parchment paper and curly writing. I mixed all the ingredients together before making the almond flavored pancakes.

I was more than happy to munch down on them after they were done. Once I finished the pancakes, I headed back to the room and sat down on the bed to wait for Court.

Diary of A

I'm beginning to think that Lyk is jealous. He seems calm most of the time and sometimes even teasing. The presents kept coming including things made of fur which I did my best to keep hidden when guests are over.

But anytime my brothers came over his demeanor changed completely when he had to leave. One times I even saw him from the woods his golden eyes peeking in through the window with his ears pinned back.

He always ran away before any of my brothers noticed though. If there is one thing, he's good at that is disappearing when the time is needed.

So far neither of my brothers have caught on to the wolf in my house. Lyk cleans up well though. He has never left any sort of evidence in the house that he had been here. He made sure of that which I appreciate.

After my brothers left today Lyk came back in this time with a rabbit which I made into a stew. He was seated on my couch most of the time with his legs tossed over the edge while he watched me.

As I gave him his soup, he seemed so happy. My guess is that Lyk probably either eats the food raw or not as cooked and seasoned as I did with my food. Some of the improvement was due to Lyk bringing me new things from the forest.

Not that long ago he had brought me a new spice to experiment with. The same spice is in the soup.

He stayed with me until the sun had completely disappeared and the moon rose in the sky. After that he left. He seemed so happy that I decided not to ruin his mood with the news that my brothers had brought.

Lyk is very protective of me. Something told me he wouldn't take well to my father trying to set me up with a suitor.

With the information Lyk had given me I produced a theory. It was clear from the way Lyk spoke he had eventually taken her as a lover. But from this recent entry it seemed Azula had a suitor at one point in her life.

There was also the nagging thing on my mind of the fact that my grandmother had the same name, but I never got to go anywhere with it as both Court and Lyk showed up around noon.

I was making myself lunch. I made a fresh lavender tea bread. It was typical bread but with some lavender in it that Court had brought back. I also made myself some tea and was eating the bread with some of the strawberry jam Court brought me.

Court came in first. I saw him and Celeste riding up before coming in. However, as he came in Lyk followed behind him.

I looked up after taking a bite of my bread. "Lyk is here to see you." Court told me as he came over putting his hand on my shoulder and smiling. I nodded. "What kind of bread did you make?" Court asked looking at some of the purple flecks.
