KABANATA 1

I was walking in the corridor when they'll talking about me again. I smiled at them not bothered for what they've said.

The way they looked at me, the way they give that stares. I feel like they're judging me to the core.

"Cassidy, they always talking you behind your back, No, even when you faced them. I envy you for being beautiful, if only i can be you too." anas ni Kennedy natawa ako at naupo nalang.

Oh, if  it's the case, should i be glad? or should i not?

My life was full of secrets that i badly need to hide-forever. Secrets that can destroy my whole me.

"Good afternoon class, before we start our class I reminded you that we will have a new student--" our adviser words cut off because of the noise of the girls, knowing that we will have a new classmate here.

I secretly laugh at that. Babae nga naman marinig lang na may transferee assume na nila na lalaki tapos magiging crush na halos  nilang lahat  sa classroom. But not me, people can't fool me that easily, again.

"Quiet, I trust the all of you to welcome him in our family with open arms, okay?" He said then he fixed his things before the lesson went on.

It's a boy, and the girls are crazily went their interest on him.

Sa kabilang banda nadagdaggan nanaman ang problema ko dito. Panibagong tao, panibagong pagtatago-

"Cassie, Are you excited to meet our new classmate?" Sasha suddenly asked me.

I shook my head. "No, I bet he had a bad image." sabi ko at tinarayan lamang nila ako.

"Paano ka nakasiguro, hindi mo pa naman siya nakikilala pero hinusgahan mo na!" anas ni Sasha at inarapan ako.

I sigh, pumangalumbaba ako. "If he's not then he will not transferred here, right? That's my first compliment for him, don't be mad at me girls. I'm just stating the possibility, don't be fool by the gender. It can be deceiving." Sabi ko at nginitian sila.

"Ngayon ko lang nalaman na ang compliment ay kaparehas ng pang-iinsulto." suyang ani Kennedy.

I just smiled after that, ayokong magpaliwang dahil hahaba ang usapan na hindi naman talaga kailangan pang pag-usapan.

There is no need to proved more, to explain the way my mind think of for a certain scene. I also don't want to waste my energy for that.  That guy didn't deserve that.

"Good afternoon class, I expected from each of you that you will answer my question for today! Get it? " Ms. Soriano one of our professor.

A professor like her will be not get rid of, but the professor like her was a great one. Matututo ka talaga.

"Yes! Madame" we said then prepare for the name she will be calling.

"Perez! " Ms. Soriano suddenly called my classmate's  surname.

Analise Perez the girl who's always inviting us for having a nightout after class. She want to spend her life drinking, wasting money for an alcohol then aalisin din naman niya kinabukasan.

"Yes, M-madame" halata sa boses nito ang pagkakaba kaya napataas ang kilay ng guro dahil dito.

"Hm, Which country known as safe place in 2018 report?" ani ng guro at tinaasan siya ng kilay habang inaantay ang kasagutan.

"D-Denmark, Madame." Analise answered. Napatawa ang guro dahil dito.

"Wrong! That's what you've got always having a nightout. Instead of wasting your money on the drinks and hotel room, bumili ka ng libro para magkalaman naman yang mga utak niyo hindi puro alak! Sit down." after of what Ms. Soriano said on Analise the whole class went silent.

"Please do some research too, the all of you!" She added. I bit my lip and let out a heavy sigh.

"Dominguez, What country started the death penalty" Ms. Soriano ask him. Frank Dominguez known as the playboy of our class.

"Pass, Madame" ani niya kaya ang ilan ay palihim na natawa. I just watching them intently.

"Wow? Pass? It's a Frank? Dominguez. Because it's not that funny to laughs at! " Ms. Soriano voice raised at that.

Natahimik muli ang buong klase at nangangapa sa mangyayari maging ako ay nangangapa. Sana bumilis yung oras para makalabas na yung isa sa Professor naming hilig nilang badtripin.

"Pass? Passabit ang grade mo! Sit down."  She look so pissed off. " I don't know what the kids nowadays got, kapag tinatanong, hindi sumasagot ng matino!" She added.

Napamasahe ang guro sa sentido niya bago harapin muli kami.

"Last question, If no one can answer this, all of you! will directly have minus 20 for not reviewing your notes!" She now started of being her again.

"What country are being no. 1 for 'World Least Visited Countries?" masungit na tanong niya at sinuyod ng tingin ang buong silid.

Parang napipi Ang buong klase dahil ni walang sumagot sa tanong niya. Tanging tunog lang ng orasan ang maririnig.

"No one can answer my question? That's so easy when you study about that!" ani muli nito.

"Okay, the all of you will have direct min----"

"Tuvalu, Madame " I cut off her words. I don't know but i feel more nervous by it.

Her eyes directly went on my position and raised a brow.

"What is the capital of your answer. Ms, Alcantara?"

"Funafuti" I answered then i looked down.

"Your answer are correct, Ang dali diba? Mabuti at alam mo hind puro pagpapaganda" pang-iinsulto nito bago lumabas ng aming silid.

Mabuti nga at may alam ako-----hindi puro pagpapaganda.

Well im not like the other kids, she mentioned.
