In The Arms of a Don

Chapter 14

Unknown POV

"Did you get the cameras placed?" I asked my voice stern.

"Yes," My second-in-command says nervously.

"Good, you may leave now," I say.

Finally, now my plan starts action today. I look down at my camera footage and my target. "We'll be seeing each other real soon," I whisper with a menacing smile.

Lily's POV

I head down the stairs to where I hear laughing. I look in the kitchen to see everyone there. I take a seat next to Noah.

"Hungry?" Chase asks me.

"Yes, what's for dinner?" I ask.

"Some lasagna and garlic bread," He says.

We all eat dinner while chatting about our day. I would have to go back to work soon and I don't really mind.

I put my dishes in the sink and head upstairs.

"Lily, wanna watch a movie with us?" Jules asks me.

"Sure," I head back downstairs and take a seat on the couch. Carlos then comes and lifts me up then places me back down on his lap. I try to move away or sit beside him but his firm grip doesn't allow me to.

"Carlos, let go of me," I whisper yell to his face.

"Nope," He says and tightens his grip even more. My face is no red and I want to run out of this room. He just likes to embarrass me doesn't he?

I look up to see a smirk on his face. I give in and rest my head against his chest.

We are more than halfway through the movie when I start to feel sleepy. My eyes start to close and I relax against Carlos' muscular body. 

I guess he knows I fell asleep because his arms tighten around me, securing me in his grasp as if I might disappear any second.

I feel a light kiss to my forehead as Carlos holds my sleeping form against his warm body.

I don't remember falling asleep in the bedroom but when I wake up I find Carlos fast asleep beside me. I check the time to see it's 8 in the morning so I go back to sleep again. 

I wake up and check the time. It's now 10 in the morning and Carlos is now gone. He must have left to work or something. 

But I thought wrong, he comes out of the bathroom only wrapped in a towel around his waist. I can see his V line and I hadn't even noticed I was staring at it.

"Like what you see amore?" He asks smiling.

I tear my eyes away. I can hear him laughing in the back.

"No," I say and turn my head back to face him. 

"Really? So you don't mind if I do this?" Then out of nowhere, he drops his towel. I cover my eyes as quickly as I can.

"Carlos!" I yell. 

"Don't worry, prima o poi lo implorerai," He says quietly to himself. (Sooner or later you'll beg for it.)

"Cover yourself!" I yell at him. I hear him chuckle and I see from the corner of my eye the white towel being picked up.

He picks his towel back up and gets dressed and heads out the door.

I to get dressed for the day. Today is my last day before I go back to work.

I head downstairs and Madi and Jules are already awake. 

"Morning Lilypad," Jordan says making breakfast.

"You can cook too?" I ask him intrigued.

"Yes, might I add I am a fine cook," He says gesturing to himself.

Damn, what can this family not do?

"So what's the plan today ladies?" Jordan asks filling our plates with scrambled eggs.

"I want to go out to get some things," I say.

"Umm, you might wanna ask Carlos first," Jordan says handing us our plates.

"Ask me what?" Carlos says heading towards us. He walks to me and places a soft kiss on my forehead.

"I wanna go out to the mall today, is that ok?" I don't even know why I'm asking him but I just do.

He nods his head and says for Flynn to take me and Noah for "protection." Whatever that means.

We are at the mall and I got a few things for myself. I needed some new undergarments since the only pairs I had were either dirty or very old. I also got myself some perfume, a small purse, some shampoo, and conditioner, and some groceries for when we head back to our apartment. 

While my two crazy friends both have their hands full again. 

******

Later that night, Carlos and Noah had dropped us off at our apartment. Tomorrow I would be going back to work which means I would have to wake up a bit earlier.
