"Hello love," I say and fire my gun. I love this girl with my whole world, but she decided to choose that douchebag over me. I haven't seen her since high school but I know we are made for each other.
But if I can't have her, then no one can. I have been planning this for years now. My second-in-command Jamie blew up our plan. That dumb bitch.
I see her guards surrounding me, my third-in-command brings the SUV and I climb in. We drive off and away from the crime scene. Let's see how this so-called mafia man feels about the love of his life on the verge of dying.
I smile menacingly as I look back the rearview mirror and see her lying on the floor, in a pool of her own blood.
Carlos POV
The doctor allows us in but only two at a time. Jules and I head in first. In the corner of my eye I see her sobbing uncontrollably. I pat her shoulder in an attempt to console her, if she were Lily I would hug her and kiss her, but she's not.
"Hey, she's going to by fine," I tell her.
She just nods her head, trying to stop crying. I know she has a hard time believing my words, even I do too. I just have to think positive and stay strong for my baby, it's the only way I can help right now and that frustrates me.
The doctor bring us to her door, and begins to open it. My heart is beating ten times faster than usual. My palms are sweating and I'm terrified to see the state she's in. I know I will lover her endlessly but I don't think by heart can take it.
Putting on my brave face I walk into the room. Wires and machines are strapped to her. I haven't even noticed the tear that escaped my eyes, I thought I stopped crying like half an hour ago.
I look at her breathing and the heart monitor making sure it still beeps. And thank the lord it does. I carefully and quietly walk toward her bed. I kneel down on her left side, where she hasn't been hit.
I take out the small box from my pocket and open it. There, it reveals a ring. Yes, and engagement ring but also a promise ring. That I will love and protect her for the rest of my life.
I slowly bring her left hand up and place a kiss on it, then slide the ring carefully on her ring finger. It fits perfectly.

I place another kiss on it and stand up.
"Ti amo, ucciderò il mostro che ti ha fatto questo," I say quietly. (I will kill the monster that did this to you.)
Jules goes next to her sister and softly sits down next to her. "Lily, I know you can't hear me, but I promise we will get them back for doing this to you. I love you so much little sis, I hope you get better and I will be right by your side when you wake up," She says quietly a small smile forming her lips while tears stream down her face.
She stands up signaling me that she's ready to leave. I walk out the door with Jules trailing behind me.
"How did it go?" Chase and Jordan stand up.
"She's okay, I hate seeing her like this and unable to do something about it," I say frustratedly with a sigh.
"Can we go see her?" Jordan asks carefully. I nod my head.

It's been a few weeks since the accident. Lily has woken up and is back home now. The doctor ordered for her to take things slow. I gave Noah a time off to heal and now he's back and has been training full time to get back into shape.
I'm sitting in my office trying to find whoever the fuck hurt my girl. Jamie has been locked up and I'm going down to ask her questions. I clean up my things and head down to the torture room where my guards and she is waiting.
"Answer the question!" I hear through the door. A smile appears on my face to know the torturing has already started.
I open the door to see Noah in her face. Chains keep her from running away. I pat Noah on the shoulder and he nods moving out of the way.
"Now let's see what we've got here," I say. "You gonna tell us who shot Lily or what?" I ask her.
"I told you, I-I don't know his name!" Jamie says stuttering on her words trying to break free from the chair.
"I know you're lying, tell us his name or I shoot you and you die," I say sternly.
"I promise you I have no idea," She begs me tears forming in her eyes.
"I don't think I have to repeat myself. Tell me his name or I shoot you. Now," I say through gritted teeth. I aim my gun at her.
"Caleb! His name is Caleb there now let me go," She says finally. Caleb? Now where have I heard that name before, surely he had something to do with Lily's past for him to attack her. My eyes widen at the realization. Of course. Her idiot of an ex. The one where they broke up since lost distance relationship.
"Can I go?" Jamie asks pleading me.
"Well, I was going to, but it'd be better off killing you," I say casually. I see her eyes widen in fear and that's when the waterwork start running. A ringing phone interrupted me.
Noah nods at me and I head outside.
"What." I ask into the phone.
"Lily's has woke up from her nap," Chase says.
"Okay, how is she?" I ask my voice softening from hearing her name.
"She's doing fine. Managed to get up and shower but I can see she's still in pain," Chase says.
I like how Chase is looking after her and telling me how she's doing but I want to see it for myself. She's trying to be as active as she can and I fear she might fall one day.
"Okay, make sure she eats breakfast, I gotta go," I say to Chase and end the call. I open the door back up and walk in.
"News flash, you get another free day," I say unchaining Jamie and I hear her sigh in relief. The guards take her to her cell and I walk out the door with Noah.
"You think she likes the ring?" I ask him.
"Well, she hasn't thrown it in your face yet so I'm guessing that's a yes," He says with a smile. We head out of the chambers and outside to our home.
Time to see my Lily and check on how she's doing.

Carlos gave Lily an engagement ring! And the enemy is revealed to be the one and only, Caleb. If you guys don't remember him, he's Lily's ex boyfriend back in highschool and they broke up from a long-distance relationship. :)
