"you might want to wake up" i heard Robyn say

"shit when did i fall asleep"

"as soon as we left" she said not once looking at me

"that's uh that's a nice watch" I said noticing it perfectly placed on her arm. Not too tight, but not too loose. Perfect

She didn't even say anything she just carried on driving until we pulled into the parking lot.

I'm getting second thoughts about her, at first I thought she was going to be welcoming and warm but she's the opposite.

I was surprised she even opened the door for me but then again, I think that's part of the job.

We walked into the building and my god did she look intimidating next to me. I went over to the front desk to be told they were waiting for me on the third floor.

"elevator's this way" Robyn said guiding me

As we stepped in i went towards the back and Robyn stood in the middle looking sternly at the door. Her posture was strict, slightly parted feet and her right hand gripped onto her left wrist.

"Robyn"

"mm?"

I didn't even know what to say or why I said her name if i'm being honest. She's a completely different person from when I met her a short time ago. Maybe she just takes her job seriously? How the fuck do I make conversation with someone who literally looks like they are about to kill anyone.

"you can relax.. you know" i almost whispered

"i'm doing my job" she said almost annoyed still not looking at me

"you can at least act like i'm a human being" i huffed

"are you?" she turned her head slightly waiting for an answer that I didn't in fact have. "that's what i thought" she said turning her head back

I was just about to say something when the doors opened and I had to go to my meeting

What does she mean am I human?

My meeting felt like a blur really. I never pay attention in them so I'm glad Robyn was there to take note of when I would be needed because I have no clue.

"can I ask you something" I mumbled a little into our awkward drive home. Well, it was awkward to me.

She didn't answer, she knew full well I would ask her anyway with or without permission

"how come your not in like a suit you know like body guard type shit" i asked

"did your other body guard wear one?"

"i mean.. no, but i-"

"that shit is for movies" she cut me off "the suit shows strength which invites challenge, and challenge insights conflict and conflict.. it breathes catastrophe" she carries on "the only way to keep you safe is to not keep you safe"

"so.. by showing your just like everyone else if someone wear to attack they wouldn't see it coming?" i asked

"something like that" she mumbled
