I spit the toothpaste out into the sink. I can't get the taste out of my mouth.
It's the second day taking this medicine and I haven't had any appetite whatsoever.
I tried to force myself to eat chicken noodle soup for lunch but my stomach wasn't having it.
After only a few spoonfuls, it sent me running to the bathroom where the soup decided to come back up.
Sakura wasn't lying when she said there'd be nausea if I didn't eat before I took the medicine.
The bright side is the antibiotics are seriously helping with this damn sinus infection.
I'm feeling much better. Plus Kakashi comes home tonight. I've been missing him like crazy.
I've been bored as fuck confined to the apartment especially since Kakashi isn't home with me.
My phone buzzes from the coffee table, lighting up with Kakashi's name. I reach for it quickly to answer his phone call.
"Are you almost home?" I whine as soon as I hit accept.
"I'm sorry my love. I called to let you know we're running a few hours behind." He says apologetically.
"No." I pout. "What time will you be home then?" I ask, sounding like a child.
"Probably one or two in the morning honey. While you're sleeping." He says.
"Can you wake me up when you get home?" I ask. I know he won't want to disturb me but fuck, I've missed him so much.
Plus I'm a pussy when I'm sick.
I just wanna lay in his arms and cry it out. Not quite sure what I want to cry out, but I want to.
"You really need to get your sleep though Ari, so you can feel better."
I sigh loudly into the phone making him laugh. "I'm not making any promises." He says.
"Fine, I guess." I say softly, hoping it'll guilt trip him.
"Don't do that." He chuckles. "If you're not snoring loudly, then maybe I'll wake you up."
I push out my lower lip although he can't see me. "Ugh, okay. Please be safe for the rest of the trip."
"I will. I love you. I'll see you soon." He says.
"I love you too."
I hang up and put my phone back on the coffee table.
I turn towards the tv and shut it off. I've pretty much exhausted Netflix for the evening and it's a little too early to go to sleep yet.
I get up from the couch and walk into the office, heading straight to the bookcase.
I look over all of our books realizing I've already read most of them. The majority of what I have belonged to my parents. A few from my sister.
My parents kept a wide collection of books on the history of Konoha. It makes sense considering they dedicated their entire lives to our home.
I only vaguely remember sitting in my moms lap while she would read. I wish I remembered more about them. But I was too young when they passed.
