It's the second time that Netflix has asked me if I'm still watching. I have been.

For hours now.

Kakashi's been locked in the office all day which left me to spend Sunday afternoon alone.

He didn't say much this morning when I offered him coffee.

Instead of sitting out on the balcony with me like we usually do, he thanked me and escaped into the office with his mug in his hand.

He was acting strange when he came home from his mission yesterday, like he was down about something.

He barely spoke when we all had Saturday morning pancakes yesterday.

I shrugged it off since he got home pretty late from his mission the night before. I assumed he was tired.

But today hasn't been any better and it's concerning me.

I brought him lunch around two in the afternoon and even though he smiled at me and thanked me, he looked almost, sad.

When I went back in to check on him around four, the lunch I made him wasn't even touched.

I let the Netflix show play in the background as my thoughts wander all over the place.

If he doesn't tell me what's wrong before bed, I think I'll ask him about it.

I tune back into what's playing on tv and let it steal my entire attention in order to distract myself from worrying about my boyfriend.

Eventually I hear the office door open and close and Kakashi walk up behind the couch.

"Anything interesting?" He says as he looks at the tv screen.

"Not really. You wanna join me?"

I wiggle my feet that are sprawled out on the other end of the couch, inviting him to sit.

"You wanna go somewhere with me?" He says as he walks over and sits next to me on the couch.

I look at him, waiting for an explanation since it's almost 8pm on a Sunday evening.

"It would mean a lot to me if you did." He leans his head on the couch offering me a half hearted smile.

My heart skips a beat simply looking at him.

I throw the blanket off of my legs and stand up, reaching my hand out to him.

"Let's go then."

Kakashi holds my hand tightly in his as we walk down the moonlit road.

"I'm sorry I've been off today." He says in a low voice, head tilted downwards as he looks at the ground.

"Are you alright?" I squeeze his hand in mine, attempting to offer him some support without overwhelming him.

He looks up at me, eyes soft but somber.
