The Fourth Man in the Fire

I was now just staring at the burnt down house

"Megs, are you okay? You want some water?" the sheriff asks and I shake my head

"Four? You're sure you found four bodies?" I ask as I walk forward but Andy grabs my arm

"We shouldn't even be telling you this." he pleads "Oh, my God. We can't let you go in there." he says as I try to get his hands off me

"If you don't take your hands off me right now, I swear to God, I will kill you." I growl as I run back towards the house.  There was bubbling blood everywhere and I nearly puked as I turned around and ran back towards my car.

"Jesus Christ, what the hell are you doing?" Tara says as she walks in on me cleaning the kitchen

"Watch your feet. I just waxed." I hiss and she laughs

"I hope you mean the floor." she says but i dont laugh as I walk pass her

"My mama made me hoecakes this morning." she says and i sigh

"so?" i ask

"she cooked me breakfast" Tara continues and I roll my eyes 

"When's the last time you saw my mama lift a finger hoodoo exorcism last night. You do not wanna get me started" she says and I sigh

"Oh, my God, are those fang marks?" she says looking at my neck

"So what? It means someone cared for me when everyone else left me high and dry." I scream

"No wonder you're crazy. A vampire made a meal of you." She yells back and I laugh like a lunatic

"Why am I the only person that doesn't think vampires are monsters?" I spit 

"They drink our blood. What's to say Bill won't leave you once he's had his fill?" she says

"Get out of my house! I've gotten very good at losing people like you. You are only making it easier for me." I scream and she looks as if she's gonna cry before she walks out. Later that night I finally decided to go to Bills grave I kneel down on his grave and I place the flowers I've brought down and feel the tears slide down my face "Shit" I whisper as I wipe my tears and when I've finally had enough I get up and begin walking away I gasp as something grabs my food and I struggle trying to get away

"Meghan" I hear Bills voice whispers and I turn around to see him dirty I let out a sigh of relief and I bring his face towards mine. He hungrily grabs me and then thrusts himself inside of me.

"Not the neck" I whisper as he goes to bite me he nods before he bites my wrist. The next day I had to rush to work because I was late.

"Listen, I heard about the fire. I'm real, real sorry." Sam says as I walked up to him "How you holding up?" he asks

"He's alive. They said four bodies. I thought Bill was one of 'em." I say laughing

"He wasn't?" Sam asks

"He's fine. In fact, he's wonderful. no need to worry about me. I'm great." I say smiling before I skip off to where Sookie stands "Bills alive" I cry and she smiles

"Oh that's great Megs" she says pulling me into a hug. When I walk off I see Jason walking up to me

"Isn't she something?" he says smiling at me and I sigh looking over at the girl who's handing out orders even though she clearly doesn't have a uniform on

"She's with you?" I ask and he sighs

"I know you're pissed at me, but...I really want you to like her." he says and I watch as the girls walks over with Sookie who doesn't look mighty happy
