Hitting the Ground

"Ah. No wonder Bill was drawn to you. You're delicious. I've never tasted anything like you. What are you?" Lorena says pulling away from my neck 

"I'm the bitch that's gonna kill you." I scream but I watch as Bill runs up behind her and wraps metal around her neck 

"Let me go." she cries but he wrestles her to the ground 

"Do it." Bill cries as I grab a stake that was laying on the floor 

"William. I love you." she cries 

"You wouldn't know love if it kicked you in the fangs." I cry as I plunge the stake into her and watch as she explodes everywhere leaving me a bloody mess. When I look down Bills passed out on the floor 

"Bill? Help!" I scream and I watch as Tara runs in with Alcide 

"Shut the door." I cry 

"He's in real bad shape, he looks dead" Tara says with wide eyes and I growl 

"When vampires are dead, this is what they look like." I cry picking up Lorenas parts of the floor "Please, help me wrap him up. l am not leaving here without him." I say pleading with Alcide and I watch as he sighs before walking over to me 

"Fuck. Let's wrap him up in the tarp." he says and starts helping me with Bill but the door opens and I see Debbie walk in with a gun in the air 

"Oh, shouldn't have. Vampire burrito? Heh. For me?" she cries 

"Debbie, just let everybody else go, take the vamp with them. You and me, we can talk." Alcide cries 

"Fuck you. I'm the one with the fucking gun. Ain't no one going nowhere." Debbie states 

"I got this" Alcide cries and I shake my head 

Worry, denial, anger 

"Debbie. Debbie, look at me. Look at me. You loved me once. l know you did." he cries and she starts sobbing 

"I'd have given up everything for you... but you wouldn't even give me a baby. What happened to, "l won't bring one of our kind in the world"? lt's too late for you to be sorry." she screams waving the gun

Listen the voices state 

Listen to me, Megs.  l'll take her out when she ain't looking. If she shoots him, we're next, and l'm not gonna die here. l don't care what you do, Megs. Just distract her for me. Tara says and I let out a screech as I watch as Debbie drops the gun to cover her ears and Tara tackles her to the ground. 

"What the hell is going on in here?" Debbies boy friend says as he walks into the room and I jump back as I watch Alcide shoot him and the scream Debbie lets out is horrifying 

"Go on. Get him in the van. I'll be right out." Alcide says and Tara and I grab Bill before running out to shove him in the van 

"All the V l got in me is making me strong. Plus, the fucking fanger's lost a lot of weight in blood, so...." Tara says as we drag Bill into the van 

"Unh. Is the V making you insensitive as well or is that just you?" I growl 

"He left me for dead." she bites out 

"Well, two wrongs don't make a right." I hiss and then I watch as Alcide walks out 

"Come on. Close the door." he says and I shake my head 

"l'm riding in the back." I say and I watch as Tara and Alcide share worried looked "Close the fucking door." I cry and as they do so I hear the wolf cries and in the dark I feel the bump of us running over something, well shit that ain't good. When we've finally driven far enough I sigh as I see a saw lying on the floor. I quickly bring it against my arm and cut before placing it in front of Bill who quickly grabs it and starts sucking hard until it hurts. Before I can pull away he's ontop of me holding his hand over my mouth as he takes a bite into me and I feel myself pass out. As I wake myself up I found myself in a long gown and I quickly walk out the door into some beautiful surrounding. The first thing I notice is the people laughing and smiling and then the birds chirping in the background but I spin as I hear a woman chuckling behind me

"Where am l?" I whisper to her and she smiles 

"Megs, You're in the hospital. You can't seem to stay out of trouble, can you?" she says chuckling lightly 

"I don't-- Do you know me? Who are you?" I ask as she grabs my hand 

"I'm Claudine. Oh, dear. Your cup is empty. We can't have that, can we?" she says as she walks me over to clear water and she places my cup in it and hands it to me 

"Oh, Claudine. My God. It's the most amazing thing
I've ever tasted." I say smiling and she nods 

"You've had it before." she whispers and I giggle 

"Can we dance?" I ask feeling some sort of joy take over my body 

"We can always dance." she replies and I laugh 

"l knew you were gonna say that. Are you my voices?" I whisper and she sighs 

"And I knew you were going to say that. Come." she says forcing me up and we start twirling together "Don't go back. Come with us. Our home. It's more beautiful than anything you can imagine." she says smiling 

"How do you get there?" I ask and she smiles 

"Just swim. Come." she whispers 

"Hate deep water. Mama and Daddy were killed by water. Don't. Can't swim." I hiss and she sighs before she looks as if she's see a ghost 

"The dark approaches. The dark approaches." she cries and I turn to see everyone go into a panic around us but she holds out her hand to me 

"Hurry. l will see you all at home. l don't have the time
to explain why you're wrong. You have to come with us, Meghan It's not safe for you anymore. He will steal your power" she whispers and I look down at my hands seeing them alight  

"I'm not going with you. I don't know you." I cry and she shakes her head before jumping into the lake 

"Do not let him take it from you." she cries as she disappears and it goes dark
