y/n and finn have been bests friends since kindergarten
they were always together and that starting to develop some feelings inside y/n
which she hadn't admit yet
she thought about it, and she was ready to do it
but then kate walked into their lives...
the new girl
they were her guides on her first day of school
finn starting to like her since the moment he saw her and y/n and her started to become really good friends
and he would always talk to y/n about her
how amazing she was, how beautiful she looked or how good the uniform fit her
y/n was tired of listening to it but what could she do about it?

"hey y/n!" said her best friend on the other side of the phone
"hey finn, what's up?"
"wanna hang out at cole's?"
y/n thought about it for a moment
"sure, be there in 10"
she hang up and got ready
something casual tho
she got in her car knowing that she was gonna be there
it was not that y/n didn't like her, but she told kate that she liked finn and since kate was hitting up on finn
thing that he liked
y/n told her about that so many times, and kate would always promise that she wasn't gonna do it again

she arrived at cole's and knock on the door
"hey y/n!" greeted him
"hey cole" she hugged him
she walked in
and saw her. sitting. in. her. place.
cole, of course, noticed this
"stay calm y/n" he whispered
"i can't cole"
"i know, but you don't want finn to know, do you?"
she nodded her head 'no'
y/n walked behind cole and sat next to quincy
"what's up brunette?" he said
"nothing much blondie" she smiled
"y/n!" kate jumped on her
"hey kate" she patted her back and smiled
kate pulled away and sat next to finn
y/n rolled her eyes
"well, guys i have some news... this is something that is been going on for a bit now and is that... me and kate are dating" spoke finn
y/n's heart dropped
she started at them speechless
"y/n?" finn smiled
but she didn't respond
"y/n you okay?" asked kate
"oh um, yeah yeah, what were you saying?" she came back to reality
"i said that me and kate are dating"
y/n looked at him
"cool" she nodded without expression
she got up and walked to the kitchen
jasmine, noah's girlfriend and y/n's first best friend, followed her
"hey, riot" she called her by the nickname she gave her when they first met
"hey jas" y/n sighted
"what's wrong?" she hugged her
"it's just... i don't want them to date jas, because i know that she's gonna hurt him and i don't want to see him hurt"
"i know y/n, and i know it hurts you, but you have to accept it, because the time they're together, she's gonna be always around" jasmine told her with sad tone and y/n nodded
"what's wrong y/n?" said kate as she saw the two girls walking out of the kitchen
"don't talk to me" y/n said looking at her in the eyes
"why do you talk to me like that? what did i do to you?" asked kate pretending to be the innocent girl
"don't come at me with that shit kate because i will fucking punch you"
"wow wow wow, you have to relax y/n" said finn walking up to kate and putting an arm around her
"oh my fucking god" y/n whispered
"not my fault he likes me more than you" kate spoke as she crossed her arms
"fuck off kate, i'm leaving"
"yeah, we don't need you here" kate spoke again
y/n sighed and turned around to look at her
"just tell me one thing kate, do you really like him?"
"yeah, i do"
"but you don't like him for him babe, you like him for the money and fame he has, or am i wrong?"
"you don't like the way his eyes shine as he watches the sunset, or the way he pulls his curls back, or the way he plays the guitar, or the way he hugs you; you don't like his friends, you don't like his brother and the worst is that you don't like his parents; you don't like reading his scripts or listening to his music, you don't like to fool around with him, you don't get his jokes and you leave him sad when you call him annoying
so if you don't like all of that, what do you like about him?"
"exactly kate, and i'm gonna tell you why you're with him"
"because you hate the thought of being alone and not having someone to be your slave"
"and why did you chose him?"
"god, y/n stop being so annoying and so clingy"
kate said rolling her eyes
"no, shut the fuck up girl" jasmine responded
"there are so many boys out there for gods sake, but you had to chose him"
"why not?" kate respond to her
"because you knew i like him, i told you i like him, and you didn't give a fuck and started dating him!!"
everyone's eyes went wide, especially finn's
"and what!? he's not yours y/n, and he's never gonna be, you have to accept it dude"
y/n stayed quiet
"god, how mean can you be you whore?" jasmine said getting closer to y/n
kate rolled her eyes "it's the truth"
"i really thought we were friends"
"and we are"
"no kate, we're not friends, because friends don't do that to each other"
"god, i was good to you kate, and for what?"
y/n picked up her jacket and her keys and went home
not caring about anyone that was there in the moment
