Chapter forty two

The ocean

Katie

Marlene and i left our backpacks in the room and we went to the ocean. We changed in our swimming suit and let our things fall to the ground.

I picked her up and twirled around. We were both laughing. I felt so much joy. I put her back down and she took my hand and we started walking towards the water.

It's probably freezing. But we didn't care. We just wanted to have some fun.

'You know. I never paid attention to it. But your tattoo looks really hot.' she said

'Yeah well. You were too busy to see the tattoo before.' i said laughing

'Shut up.' she said with a big smile

'Shall we?' i asked looking at the ocean

'It is gonna be freezing. Let's do this quick. Run in.' she said taking my hand

We looked at each other and then started running towards the ocean. My body came in touch with the cold water. It really was freezing. We kept going in.

'It's really cold.' she laughed

I took her in my arms and started kissing her neck.

'What are you doing?' she asked

'Warming you up.' i said

She pressed her fingers to my jawline and turned my head to her. She looked me in the eyes and started kissing my lips. I was holding her up in my arms.
She stopped kissing me and pressed her forehead to mine. She was shaking.

'We should go back out.' i said

'No. I wanna stay.' she said

'No. You are already shaking. You gonna get a cold.' i said getting out of the water with her in my arms

I sat myself down on the sand and put my jacket over her. I wasn't that cold.

'What about you?' she asked

'I'm alright.' i said

'Maybe we should go in and get a hot chocolate.' she said

'Yeah. Let's do that.' i said

She put her dress back on and i put my clothes back on. We went to a cafe and sat down inside.

'What can I get you?' the waitress asked

'Two hot chocolates and maybe some croissants.' i said

'Sure. Coming right up.' the waitress said

'Thank you.' i said
'Is it still cold?' i asked Marlene

'It's better. Thanks Pumpkin.' she said

'That was a bad idea huh?' i laughed

'Pretty much.' she laughed

'Sorry to bother you. I see you're cold. Why don't i move you to a table in the back? It's right next to the heater. Very warm there. I can show you if you like.' the waitress said

'Sure. We'd love that.' i said

The waitress said moved us more in the back of the cafe and it was indeed warmer.

'Thank you.' i said

'Yeah. Thanks. This is better.' Marlene said

'Okay. I'll be right back with your hot chocolate and croissants.' the waitress said

'She seems nice.' Marlene said

'Yeah. She is.' i said
